excellent sercice

Trupanion responded very quickly to our claim. There was never a worry about anything. Filing a claim is very fast and uncomplicated.

Embrace representatives go above & beyond to help

I recently had a dermatological visit denied due to my boxer having a temporary exclusion of dermatological issues based on some ear crusting and scarring that was due to trauma noted while the policy was still in the 2-week waiting period. My regular vet submitted a letter of appeal as the recent skin issues are not related to the earlier ear issues and still the claim was denied. My vet offered to speak to the claims adjuster and the Embrace claims adjuster called my vet and they discussed the matter further. My vet was able to provide additional information that allowed the initial denial to be reversed and now his dermatological issues are now covered. My point is this-even if a claim is denied it is always best to speak to Embrace and find out the reasons why and you will find that Embrace representatives will work with you and help you if they can. Even if my claim ended up not being covered I would still recommend Embrace to everyone I know because they really do care about their policyholders. Be respectful and be patient with the process and you will find that this company and its representatives REALLY DO CARE.

I have been very happy with FPI

This is my third dog that I have insured with VPI and have never had a year for any of my pups for which I didn't get my premium back in payments for a variety of issues including prescriptions for my one golden who had epilepsy.

great company; great service

I've been with Trupanion for several years now, having insured 2 little dogs: one Maltese and One Yorkie. Both are aging and have developed health issues. Our Yorkie has COPD and our Maltese congestive heart failure. Hence, we've had a lot of vet bills for care and meds. Trupanion has paid every claim without any hassle whatsoever...promptly and no fuss. I think this company is totally focused on their customers and great service.

If only humans could have this kind of coverage!

I have been with trupanion for about 5 years now. Last year we had a cancer scare with one of my cats. He had surgery done. thankfully he is doing great. I was SHOCKED when i received a check for about $2000 1 week following the submission of my claim. And the claim form... it can't get any simpler than that. 1 page! About 3 questions. Now, this last month has been a VERY difficult one. My second cat got sick. I took him in. His treatment came out to $15000. We did everything we could, but in the end cancer took my baby's life. I was not aware that my vet could submit the claim and just charge me the 10% after the claim had been filed. I found out after I paid all the money upfront, and out of pocket that my vet was willing to do that. pulling together $15000 did not help when I was going through one of the hardest times in my life. Its been a week since my cat passed, and my check covering 90% of that $15 grand is already on its way!!! I can mourn in peace! So professional, so caring.

Even covers specialists

Our seven year old Chihuahua, Iggy, is a rascal. He’s always very lively, mischievous and playful but last year was a rough one for him. Suffering from severe gastric issues due to a gall bladder disease, Iggy was hospitalized for several days. When our regular vet could no longer treat Iggy, we were referred to a specialist in a distant town. There, we were given the choice of surgery to remove the gall bladder or a round of medications to try to treat it. I chose to try the medications and thank goodness, they worked. Our Iggy is once again healthy and happy. The cost would have been overwhelming to us if not for our PetFirst Pet Insurance. It was so easy to submit the claim, the customer service representatives were very kind and helpful. We received a reimbursement check for the covered services so quickly. It was a pleasure to deal with PetFirst and we are so confident that they will be there to help us with Iggy’s health when and if the need ever arises.

Extremely pleased with Embrace.

My veterinarian (Dr. Kristin Sulis) recommended Embrace and I am so happy that I took her recommendation. I always receive a timely response and payment. Very happy with my coverage!

Our dog came close to dying back in July. If it weren't for a couple of very good doctors he would no longer be here. We had to take him to a special vet group, and luckily they found the problem. Surgery was required and things got very expensive, but the care he got was worth it and he's better than ever. ASPCA made what would have been a very big financial hit an affordable one. They reimbursed us very quickly.

Not a single claim denied in 10 years

I have two Ten Year old terrier mixes that have had pet first insurance since they were 1 year old. No matter how "tight" money was I have always kept their insurance current. We were forced out of our house for 9 months due to Hurricane Sandy, and have had financial hardship .Because of this we no longer have credit cards. A.few months ago my dog was sick and had to go to the vet. I would not have been able to pay for this if I did not have insurance. After my copayment I was reimbursed 90 percent. The peace of mind that I have having Petfirst insurance is well worth the monthly payment. For over ten years I have never had a claim denied and I believe that my pets are healthier because of petfirst.
