Always great service!

We have been Embrace Insurance customers for almost 9 years now.First we had our Dachshund, Zuzu, insured since she was a puppy...and Embrace has seen her through a few illnesses and a lot of Wellness claims. Never any hassles. Always quick claims processing. And most appreciated is that Embrace really cares and always expresses concern and best well-wishes for our K9 family members. That's a nice personal touch that sets them apart in my humbled opinion. Most recently we've added Brady, our Senior rescue Dachshund to our Embrace policy...since we adopted him in Nov. 2014. Brady is in relatively good health however, has had some recent back/spine issues that we are treating. Embrace has covered our illness claims and even his physical therapy, laser treatments, and aqua-fitness. I really don't think there is a better pet insurance company out there. Embrace is the best and the only insurance we trust and recommend to all our family and friends who have pets of their own.

Very quick and courteous service.

My dog had a luxating patella, which basically means their knee would pop out of place. Without any notice to Healthy Paws, I had the surgery done and paid everything up front. Upon payment, I asked my doctor to forward all medical records to Healthy Paws. I then submitted a claim with a short description. I called Healthy Paws just to make sure they received everything, which they did. About a little over a week later (this was my first claim), they approved the claim and sent out the reimbursement checks exactly as promised. They even wrote me a follow up e-mail later checking on the status and health of my dog. The service was extremely fast, painless, and courteous. I was expecting to have to overcome some obstacles being that I did not notify them that I was going to have the surgery, but none were presented. The process to submit the claim was also extremely easy. There was no need to fill out any long forms. I just took a picture of the receipts and sent it through the mobile app. I'd highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Worst microchip company!

I have had the worst experiences with this company . It is a shame a lot of the rescues are using them. 3 of my pets are microchipped with them. I have tried repeatedly to get them to change information on my account and the hard copies mailed are still incorrect. If you ask for a manager, they NEVER have one working at that time. Vey convenient?! If you ask for one to call you back, don't hold your breath. I paid about $12 for a tag for my dog because if the ownership is changed , they do not issue you a new tag. Well the tags do not come with a hook/ ring, nothing. So if someone doesn't have one already, that tag will never get on their dog. I thought these people were supposed to be reconnecting pets with owners?!! Mistakes is scanning chips that don't show up happen all the time and chips can come out of the pet's skin and be lost. Have about an hour available to wait on hold if you call also. And they are one of the most expensive companies for lifetime membership with THE least amount of satisfaction.

Great for dog getting into battles with other dogs

Our Mr. Mazek has a little bit of a stubborn streak in him and it gets him into trouble with bigger dogs sometimes. Not once, but twice the little guy decided to do battle with a larger dog and both times he ended up in the emergency room late in the evening. He required major surgery both times. Each occurrence required well over 50 stitches each to close the gashes in both shoulders. Each vet bill was almost $1000, and thanks to Petfirst, I was only responsible for a few dollars. They even covered the follow up appointments and medications required up to my limit… If it was not for Petfirst, that would have been $2000 out of my pocket… I have 4 pups and they all have the Petfirst protection package for sickness and accidents

Severe IBD Diagnosis

My 10 year old dog stopped eating one day and didn't want to go for a run. I knew something was wrong when she didn't want to run. Many days and 3 vet appointments later, she was admitted to a vet specialty hospital and it was determined that her intestines weren't working. 4 days in the hospital, an endoscopy, biopsies, and other tests later, she was diagnosed with IBD. She is home now and her IBD is being managed with strict diet and medications. THANK YOU Embrace for being there to help me help my best friend and running partner!

Amazing

I don't know where to start. My dog suffers from IVDD which is a disc disease in dogs. My dog had to undergo emergency surgery to repair 4 discs in his back and Embrace was always there to support us. I'm recommending them to everyone. Love your pet and treat them like your child and pay a small monthly fee because you never know what is going to happen, you may need embrace one day!

Pets Best Staff was very helpful

My family and I would like to express our appreciation to Pets Best for handling our claims in such a timely fashion.Our beloved pet, Bambi Lyn, passed away and the grief was over-whelming, but the Pet’s Best Staff helped us through the process of filing the claims, reimbursed us as promised and relieved us of so much stress. We would gladly tell anyone interested, to pick Pets Best for their pet insurance.

Fantastic coverage and service

I have been extremely pleased with this coverage. Communication, EOBs, and reimbursements have been timely and everyone I have dealt with has been extremely polite and friendly. I would certainly recommend this company to others.

Disappointed

I initially had 7 cats covered by PetPremium. One cat, Jesse, came down with intestinal lymphoma & hyper-thyroidism. I submitted my claims & after reaching the deductible, I was reimbursed. However, I wasn't reimbursed based on the amount I was charged, but by the amount PetPremium felt was the fair amount. For example, I paid $65 for an office visit, PetPremium felt it should be $45 so my reimbursement was based on the $45 (these aren't exact amounts). After that, I cancelled all but Jesses policy & went with PetsBest (who I had another cat with). I didn't cancel Jesses policy since, like all insurance, PetsBest wouldn't cover pre-existing issues. Fast forward a year, I submit a claim for medicine for the hyper-thyroid. Its denied. Why? Because they only cover the illness for 1 year!! So if you have a pet with a chronic condition such as asthma, they will only cover them for a year! If I had been told these 2 things when I was shopping for insurance, I would never have gone with them. And when I called to cancel, they kept insisting that no one else will cover a cat their age. Thats wrong. I called PetsBest the same day & they all are covered!
