Over 14 years with Trupanion
We have used Trupanion for over 14 years now. We have had coverage on 2 dogs, 2 cats and now we are adding to our fur family. We highly recommend using Trupanion as they have always been extremely respectful and efficient when we have had to use their services. The Trupanion's staff have always been extremely professionalism and it is odvious that they are all pet lovers.

Reimbursement
They have good rates, the only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they're reimbursement takes so long to be completed. I normally have to wait about a month and a half for reimbursement.

My Corgi puppy fractured his femur and required surgery. I submitted my claims. I was kept informed of the status of these claims. I had 4 in total. The process was really simple. I uploaded the invoices and his medical records. I received my reimbursements within 14 days. The staff at Healthy Paws are both professional and personable. I received an email from the staff checking on Jasper recovery the other day. This is an amazing company!

How often can you brag on an insurance company? Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is a company that truly cares about pets and their owners. We have two French Bulldogs and one English Bulldog and when you love your pets you take care of them to the best of your ability. We are so grateful to have Healthy Paws on our team when it comes to caring for our furry babies. No matter how small or large our medical problems have been, the peace of mind that we have knowing that Healthy Paws is on our side is PRICELESS! Any time a friend tells me that they are considering a puppy (or kitty) into their lives I always tell them to immediately get them on a health insurance plan.....because you never know when or what will come your way but with Healthy Paws you don't need to worry about whether or not you can afford to give your fur babies the best options. Absolutely an extremely dishonest scam…
Absolutely an extremely dishonest scam organization that denies claims it advertises that it covers. Even after a Veterinarian spent considerable time writing an appeal this fraudulent faux insurance company denied the claim. May an eagle deficate on all of you!

No coverage on simple allergy shot. Awful.
My dog was a rescue. She didnt have much for medical records. I provided the history of shots given once I got her. After a year of paying i took her to the vet for an allergy shot and ear infection and it was not covered AT ALL. No medication, no visit, nothing. At the end of the day this is not the insurance if your dog is a rescue and that's sad.

Go Elsewhwere, Very Disorganized!
I bought this policy months ago and made a claim in July, 2021, It is now the end of September. My puppy turned 1 yr in September. He is a healthy pup with a history of an ear infection from swimming in a lake. The company representatives keep telling me they are missing either the vet records or the invoices. Today it was the claim form. I know the customer service people are working from home but this is ridiculous. My vet has sent the medical record 4 times. I have emailed the documents I have several times. While customer service reps are nice on the phone, once off the phone nothing happens. Each time the customer rep tells me either the claim forms or invoices are not received then the next one tells me they are but they are missing the opposite. They say then will follow up by phone and they dont. I sent copies by mail, and they are lost. This used to be a good company for Pet Insurance, I dont know what happened to them as now they seem to be a mess.
