I only wish my own health insurance was as friendly and helpful as a call to Trupanion, no wait time and truly interested in my dog's health.

The Best is Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws is amazing. They have been so good to my beagle. My beagle was never ill until she developed bladder stones; they were surgically removed only to have her almost lose her life. Two surgeries later and a lot of doctors visits Stella is getting better. Healthy Paws compensated me for everything as indicated in the policy. When I was in the E.R. at 2:00am and the doctor came out and said she needed emergency surgery- I knew I could say yes and wouldn't let my dog die or need to get an extra credit line to pay for her surgery. Owning a pet is like having a child, it our obligation to take care of it- insurance is paramount for that to happen. Healthy Paws is the best.

Health Paws Pet Insurance is the best!

My dog Beretta received a bite in the face by a cottonmouth and had to stay overnight at the emergency vet hospital for an antivenom drip. Due to my Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, I could concentrate on getting her the best treatment available rather than worry about the cost. With Healthy Paws I had peace of mind. My claim was handled quickly in about two weeks. They even emailed me a week after the claim was settled to check on how Beretta was doing.I have used my plan on several occasions and have always talked with compassionate, friendly and helpful people. In my opinion there is no pet insurance company that compares to Healthy Paws

Strongly recommended!

We've had an outstanding experience with Healthy Paws so far, covering our almost 2-year-old golden retriever. Like a typical golden puppy, he's had issues eating things he shouldn't, with a few visits to the emergency room as a result -- and Healthy Paws has been incredibly easy to work with. With the Healthy Paws app on my phone, submitting a claim is as easy as taking a photo of the vet bill. That's it. Consistently we've received confirmation of the handling of the claim within a few days, with the check arriving a few days after that. We've never had a hassle. Strongly recommended.

VERY happy I decided to insure with EMBRACE

I have an aging dachshund. I got the policy several years ago before back problems started, anticipating they may occur. Well, sadly they have. In December my girl blew a disk and needed surgery. That was about 7500.00. (Mostly covered less deductible etc.) It was reimbursed within a couple of weeks after I got the correct notes to them (it took longer for me to get the notes from the vet than for EMBRACE to reimburse.) Our new year starts in March. Unfortunately, in April, she blew another disk and needed another surgery for about 6500.00 Again, since a new year had started it was mostly covered and there was rapid reimbursement by direct deposit into my account. I have NO complaints. I was nervous submitting the claims as I anticipated as they were pretty large that attempts would be made to deny. But it was easy and straightforward.

Huge disappointment

I really wish I would have done more research before getting insurance from Nationwide. My dog has a leg injury, 2 partially torn tendons and my expenses are well over $3000. Nationwide said they would only pay $575 which is the max benefit for this condition. Well I looked up the fine print on the policy and that is what it says. However, just the x-rays and ultrasound were close to $1000. So all Nationwide is paying for is to diagnose the problem. They refused to pay for any of the treatment to get my dog better which included injections and physical therapy. I feel that their refusal to pay for my dog's treatment is extremely unethical. I wrote letters and of course got only a form letter back saying that's what the policy says. So now I will be getting insurance from a company with no claim limits. So beware and do thorough research before getting insurance.

This insurance is a scam

I submitted everything I was supposed to in order to get the policy going, and after I submitted my first claim they told me I needed to resubmit everything over, plus the dogs last 12 months medical history, I told them the dog was 12 months old and I got him at 2 months old.i was told there wad nothing they could do for me, really??I cancelled my policy, everything is fine till you submit a claim, then prepare for months of red tape ,as they try to wiggle out of paying the bill.smh
