My sweet little Ivy was mauled by two large dogs, leaving her with a split ear and large wound in her side. I called my emergency vet and told them we were on the way. They were great, and offered to submit to insurance for me. Within a couple of days I received an email from Healthy Paws telling me they had received my claim. The thing that surprised me was that the first sentence was basically, "How is Ivy doing? We're so sorry you have to go through this", etc. They emailed again a few days later asking how Ivy's recovery was going! I am so happy I have Healthy Paws as my pet insurance company. They really care about their clients, and With a bill of over $1000, it's a huge relief to know we will get a large portion of this back!

While valid in their denial of an ER claim due to the injury and deductible, we nonetheless have been a customer for ten years. You'd think they'd like to thank us for our business and calculate the difference in cost to acquire a new customer vs. maintain a current one.

It was pretty frightening when our mini poodle was assaulted by large dog. We rushed to the Pet Emergency and were so grateful the wounds were relatively superficial. Knowing we had ASPCA Pet Insurance helped me stay calm as it diminished my worry about the bill. Though we had our deductibles, they covered their share of all the emergency services and subsequent office visit and meds. We've had this insurance for our last dog and for Gigi, and it gives us peace of mind.

I have been with Pet's Best for eight years and liked them until I recently submitted my first serious claim.. They used some tricky math to swindle me out of $300 on the claim. The policy description says they pay 70% after a $1000 deductible, but in fact they apply the deductible to their 70% share, reducing the effective payment to about 65%. I told them I thought this was unconscionable, and their reply was "this underwriter calculates it that way." I would have given them fewer stars, but their customer service folks are very nice and they did process my claim quickly. But the policy description is misleading at best. This was not explained when I bought the policy, and after reviewing the policy it is still not clear.

This is the best pet insurance on the market! They make claim submission, review and payment fast, easy and seamless. I am so grateful that the Humane Society recommended it. This is better than most people's health insurance. If you have a new pet, or even an aging one, please make the call and check it out. You will be so thankful you did!

Blood tests, x-rays, skin allergies, injuries, necessary, vital drugs are not covered. $40 a month for 4 years, that's $1920 invested in trupanion, for ZERO coverage.It's a disgusting business, as they play you with fears, false beliefs and claims. It is very surprising that these business practices have not been investigated yet.

My dog Billy was admitted to Oradell Animal Hospital for diarrhea and loss of appetite. He spent 2 nights in the hospital. The bill was almost $5,000. I submitted the claim, and Embrace processed it promptly. We received approximately 50% reimbursement, which was a tremendous help. Thank you Embrace!
