quick turn around time for claims

My dog had a torn ligament and meniscus. After the claim was submitted (which was substantial, as you can imagine) I was notified via email within 2 days that it had been received and was being processed. Within a few days it was completed and I received a check within 2 weeks. I also received a call from Bob asking how Zack was doing, he couldn't have been nicer.

Quick response and caring

ASPCA Pet Insurance is really the best and on top of everything. I am thrilled that Abby has great coverage. I wish mine was as good.

I love this company!

When I needed them they were there! My cat Lizzie lived an additional 2 years after her cancer diagnosis because of her miracle doctors and the financial support we received from Trupanion. They never failed us. They were always courteous and understanding. It was a very difficult time at the end, and they truly cared about her.

Happy with cost/reimbursment ratio

Having a very energetic dog, I rather be safe than sorry :)I did some comparison before I signed up with ASPCA and found it was the best value/coverage(for me) The ratio of cost/ reimbursement is above average I think. I did get my monthly fee worth within about3 visits/year (incl. prescription cost). Also the claim/reimbursement process is painless. All done online and deposited into my bank account. Periodic follow up calls & checking on customer satisfaction is also a plus too. I give it a 9 because I don't have anything to compare it with :)

Seriously grateful we did our research here first

Healthy Paws! You all need to know the sense of both relief and confidence you have infused into our decision to have our Choc Lab Duke, protected by Healthy Paws. He started favoring his right leg at about 6 months old after exercise or play times. Unfortunately like other large breeds, it was confirmed Elbow Dysplasia after x-rays and then seeing a Specialist. We thought we were going to be "poop" out of luck staring at another enormous bill... as it was over $3500, but we got most of that back from Healthy Paws! See, we had been down this familiar road before with our previous forever dog... But your company restored our faith in how it should work. The claims approval we just received is just one example, not just because Duke was covered, but the expediency, sincere caring, and genuine efforts. You took care of business; yes, and with that, you take care of us and our lil' cool dude, Duke. And we talk from experience, due to how a Very Silly Pet insurance company did NOT have our backs not long ago for a different forever lab who had similar medical issues, and that company didn't possess any of your attributes, let alone coverage or an attitude of care. In fact, we got zilch, squat, nada. Just premiums to pay with them. Thankfully we did our diligence this time around from this very Pet Insurance review website and bought Duke's Healthy Paws policy as soon as we got him - guess it pays to commit early. Realizing that sincere care of pet & your customers starts at the top of your organization but it gets reinforced from the rest of the team (Melissa, Haley and others in customer service/claims, bean counting, sales, marketing, education, custodians, receptionists... who may never get attention...) and it completes the circle and galvanizes. Hmm... like a good pack? :) My wife and I humbly thank you for your spirit of pet care and Duke especially thanks you as he's on the road to recovery with his fashionable leg wraps and cone collar! He's being pretty tough, the word "Ouch!"isn't in his "bark"cabulary. With sincere gratitude, Mark, Carol... & Duke 🐶 p.s. (We just got the reimbursement check! Less than a week after his surgery? wow, just wow. Sign us up as clients for life!)

This coverage is a fraud

I switched from another pet insurance company to Embrace in May 2017, because it was conveniently offered by my auto insurance carrier. It was an expensive mistake. The policy language states that there is a TWO WEEK exclusion for illness and a one year exclusion for CHRONIC conditions. My dog developed diarrhea after the two week exclusion ended. Believing that she was insured, I took her to the (expensive) emergency vet and agreed to a $300 blood test. The blood test showed some elevated levels, so I followed up with her regular vet. I submitted claims for both visits, which were denied on the basis that an unrelated episode of diarrhea 10 months prior was a pre-existing condition. Now I have to waste my time and my vet's time proving that my healthy dog does not have chronic diarrhea. Fortunately I live in California where we have an active Attorney General and strong consumer protection laws.

6 week trial is a hoax so is the coverage

I have a 16 weeks old puppy. I took her in on her 12 week appointment and we were passed with a complete ok'd bill of health. No issues except one time she vomited up a bit of grass and the vet saidwill do that.we then were signed up for the 6 week trial (which persecute lost our waiver for almost a week to create a our file). A Aweeklater which was a week into our trial period our puppy had severe diahrea and food vomiting. They said it could be the kind of food and we need to switch it. The Bill was 1086.00 we submitted it to pet secure and they said it was a pre existing condition because she vomitted up grass once as a puppy and will not be reimbursed. Our vet went as far as to call the company and give them her professional opinion that that is wrong. We should be getting reimbursed because it is different and considered an illness . Then we purchased the actual plan for pet secure a week later and our puppy was still on meds. I was informed that it would be covered from the 6 week trial period as illness. I have now received my statements from the insurance company saying we will not be getting anything back. This is ridiculous even when the vet said all puppies chew grass sometimes and that should not be the pre existing gastrual intestinal exception. Ridiculous!

Excellent Service!

Can't say enough good things about this company. We have a year old Bull Mastiff puppy that has had numerous problems since he was very young and Embrace has covered everything just as they said. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance can't get much better.
