Trupanion has done very good with my dog on any claims.
Trupanion has done very good with my dog on any claims. The only thing is it is expensive if nothing ever goes wrong but for my dog, thank God I had it

I now have 8 cats on Trupanion and it has saved me on multiple occasions and I have saved way more than I have spent on all of their plans.
I now have 8 cats on Trupanion, and it has saved me on multiple occasions, and I have saved way more than I have spent on all of their plans. When my kitten broke her leg, and when another cat developed an autoimmune disease and required numerous appointments, medications, and rehab, I didnât have to worry about saying yes to the best treatment. I was able to have them treated to the gold standard, no second thoughts. That peace of mind is priceless in an emergency situation.

I'm disappointed because our dog has been insured for 3 years (October 3, 2019) on October 2, 2019, he visited his vet for diarrhea. I attempted to submit a claim on 4/17/2021 because he had diarrhea and my claim was denied, when I called to inquire the reason for denial I was told that his diarrhea was considered a preexisting condition (which is completely ridiculous to me since diarrhea is such a broad symptom that could be caused by any number of things). I am currently exploring other options to insure our dog because I feel as though we've been paying into this policy for 3 years now with no return.

50-50 some good some bad
Very easy to submit claims. Just disappointed in the amount that I have to cover spent 1600 on my dogs eyes and out that I only get 28 dollars. On a 500 deductible.

Zoeâs injury
Well I was always under the impression that I had a $250 deductible and then you would pay 90%. Well I get a bill for almost $1000 and turns out that I had to pay the 250 deductible they have $170 administration fee that you guys donât cover and then I paid the remit the 10%. So it ended up that I paid just about $500 and you paid much less. I donât have the numbers in front of me right now but anyways almost seems like a waste maybe on a bigger ticket item it would be to my advantage but this experience was not I pay between sick and wellness more money for the dogs insurance then I pay for my own. So to summit up I donât think it was a very good experience hopefully I never have to use it again because I donât like when my dog is sick or injured.

Too many treatments not applied to deductible.
I have always had pet insurance mainly for a large accident/condition that may occur. Too many things that a pet may experience are not covered. Therefore it's very difficult to get to your deductible.

Having my vet submit claims is an excellent option!
Having my vet submit claims is an excellent option! My only regrets are that I set my deductible on the high side and Iâm not sure the extra health rider is worth it. The Trupanion team has always been friendly and helpful!

Nothing covered...:(
Got full coverage for our puppy. When i filed claims, very little was actually covered. I've spent hundreds on vet bills AND insurance and got $80 back :( I'm feeling if I take all the money I'm paying in premiums and put it in an account, I'll come out ahead of paying monthly premiums...
