How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Oasis Veterinary Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Dr. Louisa Asseo is a true expert, very caring and trustworthy doctor, in fact, the entire staff of doctors and technicians are amazing and always working hard under intense pressure with the variety of injured animals the continuously flow through their front doors. Thank you for the past 12 years of exemplary service and outstanding care for our German Shepherds, cat and rabbit.

I've been bringing my guinea pigs here for 2 years now, and Dr Becich is the absolute best. She's compassionate and very conscientious of how I want to care for my girls. Every procedure she brings up as an option, she explains what it is and what the likely outcome will be if we do or do not do it. I know she has very limited time with each patient, but she still manages to give me and my a lot of information and a ton of care in that short time. The staff are also always kind and friendly, from the front desk to the techs. The building is very clean, well lit, and comfortable to visit. I'm grateful I found this place. I will also say, when I adopted six guinea pigs from a rescue, I had no idea how expensive the vet bills would be. I haven't shopped around (not many options for exotics), so I can't compare vet costs. But I'm incredibly glad that I chose to get pet insurance. If I hadn't had it, I'd likely have lost at least one if not two girls simply because I couldn't afford a procedure.

My daughter's rats had respiratory infections. Oasis was recommended by a local vet because of their experience with rodents. They were very helpful and caring and knew exactly how to treat our rats.

My dog needed a OTC supplement for doggy dementia, no prescription needed. Unfortunately my usual vet doesn’t carry it, but saw online this place was the closest to me that does. Called in for more info, but unfortunately the front desk told me this was prescription only (which is not true), and my dog needed a $100 pet exam fee before even “prescribing” the supplement to me. I did not consider even coming in after that interaction. Take what you will with my experience.
