How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr Stump and the Vet Tech (Dina?) were both great, had helpful suggestions and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I like that the staff is always so sweet and patient with Bowie, who's always a nervous wreck at the vet (see photo: puppalumps hiding under mom's chair)!

Dr. Brad Pondish was patient and listened to our concerns about Finn. Hunt Valley was recommended by our regular vet for a 2nd opinion and xrays for a continuous cough our labrador Finn has had. We got an appointment right away and the appointment was on time. Reasonable bill for the excellent service that was given..

We drove in from Pennsylvania for an appointment with our dog. It was well worth the trip! We were seen quickly for a neurology appointment and the dr took her time explaining everything and suggested treatment plans. Reports were sent quickly to our regular vet and me. Very professional and patient friendly. Thank you!

We heard great things about this vet office and they were wonderful!! We were able to make an appointment soon for our baby who had a fever. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They explained everything to us and were very thorough. They were also prepared to help us with our pet's aggression so that they could give him a careful check up. I felt immediately comfortable there and I'm thinking of switching from my former vet office to this one, even though it's a bit of a drive. Quality counts!!

The Vets, Tech's, and Staff are top notch. I won't ever go to another vet and can't recommend HVAH enough. I have been going to HVAH for years and they take the best care of my two Bulldogs. If you are looking for a an experienced clinic with a warm and friendly staff - don't look any further!
