Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took my cat in for her annual visit to get her vaccinations updated, and I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with the service I received. The veterinarian spent less that 5 minutes in the room with us. She gave the vaccine and barely ran her hand over the length of my pet. You call that an examination??? Didn’t look at ears, eyes, or back side. Just looked in my cats mouth because I asked them to. I have taken my animals to this vet for over 25 years. I have been loyal to this clinic since it was a tiny house located on the other side of Merle Hay. A five minute exam at that price is ridiculous. I guess loyalty doesn’t count for much to the current owners. Do better Village Vet!

Staff always goes above and beyond! They are transparent with your options, treatment costs, & are very compassionate. They listen to all my questions and concerns regardless of how silly they may be. Recently had a medical emergency with my pup Lola. They got her in quickly and were very communicative with calling about test results, new findings, and next steps. Wouldn't trust Lola with any other vet! Thank you to all the staff at Village Veterinary Hospital! Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

I have never been treated so poorly by a vet. Unbelievably rude. I absolutely did not decline any services, I had to ask that his ear be cultured and I was willing to do blood work, however I did have questions about what the bloodwork was for. I left before the results came back from his ear swab because the vet was so unbelievably rude, rolling her eyes and told me “if you can’t afford to maintain his you should think about end of life” all because he has and ear infection? I’ve spent $1200 on him just this year. I came to you for a second opinion, but I will never be back. Get your facts straight before you post here and try to make me look like I “declined your services”
