Good rate for the insurance and I used nationwide once for a different pet. Easy as 1,2,3.

I just made a first claim on one of my dogs and now three of the others have rate increases. Statistically what happens to one does not have to happen to the others. It seems like the rates have increased twice this year and are approaching a point of self funding their health care is more logical. Just disappointed.

Take your pet to the vet first then we will give u insurance.

I signed up to get my pet insurance because I cannot afford to take them to the vet without it. Then after signing up and getting the policy numbers, I am told that I have to take them to the vet, to have a checkup and submit the health records for the last 6 months.\ That was the point of getting insurance. I can't take them to the vet without it. I feel like what you're saying is. Yes, we will give you insurance as long as we can make sure you're not going to need to use it. So, thanks, but no thanks, I will not be going through with any of this. I'm going to cancel all of it at my earliest convenience. Thank you.

🚩 For Anyone Considering Fetch and…

🚩 For Anyone Considering Fetch and Everyone Leaving 5 Star Reviews 🚩 Dogs are amazing, and bringing one into your life is pure joy. Wanting to protect them with insurance makes total sense. If you are currently enjoying Fetch’s low starter premiums, it is important to understand exactly how this works before you commit long term. Fetch’s pricing model relies on locking you in early & then raising rates once your pet has a medical history. My dog, Gabi, is a 4 year old mini Goldendoodle. Had her birthday Nov 2025. Here is what Fetch charged me; 2022 $432; 2023 $640 which is a 48% increase conveniently right after puppyhood ended; 2024 $653 which is a 2% increase; 2025 $784 which is a 20% increase. Those increases were tolerable. What happened next is not. Fetch increased my 2026 premium from $784 to $2,074 per year. That is a 164.5% increase in one year. Thats with me even removing the wellness plan! This is NOT a one time adjustment. This resets the policy at a dramatically higher baseline so that every future increase compounds from an already inflated number. This has nothing to do with my veterinarian raising prices or so called increases in vet costs in my area. My vet has not raised rates in years. Fetch also points to age and claims history. Over the span of 4 years, she had knee injuries from a single accident, some abnormal bloodwork, & very minor issues like a rash & a brief belly upset, all of which were treated & 100% resolved. Both knees were surgically repaired, are stable, & she has no ongoing issues. This is not a chronic condition. The increase happened for one reason. Fetch knows I cannot leave without consequences. Fetch, like all other pet insurance companies, does not cover pre existing conditions. Once your pet has any serious injury or illness, switching providers means those conditions will not be covered elsewhere. Fetch relies on this. They keep premiums low early to attract customers, then dramatically raise rates after claims because they know you are effectively stuck. That is the manipulation. Calling a 164.5% increase market pressure is dishonest. This is not inflation. This is not veterinary cost increases. This is a calculated strategy that exploits pre existing condition exclusions. If you are considering Fetch, understand this before you sign up. The low entry price is temporary. If your pet ever needs real care, your premiums can and will skyrocket. Get Fetch. Smile big when you get a reimbursement. Just understand that you will pay every single penny back once they decide to raise your premiums the way they did mine. They WILL hold your claims history against you. When they do, you can come back here, like this post, & wish you listened to me. I am sharing this so other pet owners can make an informed decision before they are locked in, not after.

Did not disclose exam requirement!

Nowhere during the process of selecting coverage did it mention I would need a medical exam performed on my dog. Exams aren't free. You require I pay for an exam that amounts to several months of insurance. I am not doing that. My dog is young and healthy, so I was on fence about getting any insurance at all. This requirement just made the decision easy not to.

BEWARE. Sold our policy after filing a large claim

We had Many Pets for a few years and when we were filing a few small claims they were amazing. Until our dog had to have a pacemaker placed and we submitted a large claim. They sold our policy the next renewal to Odie Pet Insurance. Although they won't admit that is why. But it you read the reviews for Odie you will see this seems to be a common practice. Puts pet owners in a horrible position as they have no choice to shop around once a pre existing condition is in the picture. I wish all the policy holders that had their policy sold to Odie like me, would have reviewed Many Pets as well. Whether they ceased operations or not in the US. It drastically impacted its policy holders selling the policy's to such a horrible company. Forcing those of us with preexisting conditions no choice but to stay. Do not use Many Pets

Insured my girl as a puppy

Insured my girl as a puppy, assuring no rate change based on age. 8 years later, fortunately healthy. No accidents, major illness. No claims submitted last year. Just DOUBLED her rate— agent told me age a factor. Nasty, deceptive people.

I’ve had healthy paws since my dog was a puppy. He is now 10 years old. I have gotten increases every single year. I have made maybe one claim in the 10 years. I’ve had it. They just raised my rates over 31%. It has become astronomical they have made money off of me for the last 10 years and now they claim as the dog is getting older, I might put in a claim for him and that’s why it keeps going up plus the price of care has gone up. I have gotten an increase every single year but I have never gotten an increase for over 31% now I’m in a bind because now the dog is older and I may eventually need the insurance but how much longer can I afford it? I feel like this is fraud just when you might need it they raise it so much that it becomes impossible to pay. No one should get pet insurance from this company.

Best for Hassle-Free Claims

I’ve had my poodle for 7 years now and I used to be a Trupanion customer. After switching to Figo I can say that the service and claims process is much much better than its competitors. Because of Figo I don’t have to constantly worry whether a veterinary emergency or procedure will set me back financially. Figo is a top quality insurer and I recommend them to anyone who needs to cover vet bills. They can be a bit on the pricier side but you definitely get what you pay for. Key Features: - Full cloud support to store policy documents and anything you’d like to add - Dedicated email address - Easy claims process that can be completed with just a few clicks - Social profiles to connect with other pet owners and post pet photos and microchip info - Claims process you can track from start to finish - Partnered with Costco
