Havenât had a pay out yet (higher deductible). Customer service people very helpful. Filing paperwork digitally was easy. Not impressed with the price increase after only one year of coverage (and one dog born 03/31/21).

Good Experience So Far!
My experience has been wonderful with Trupanion. Only advice I would give to a friend is do research to get the best monthly premium because once you have selected your pet insurance you are kinda stuck due to pre-existing clauses. I have seen that I could have gotten a better premium. I hope that my premiums do not raise significantly over the years. It will be the defining factor for what I choose for all of my future animals.

really disappointed with the insurance. I'm paying every month and you refuse to cover my cat's emergency visit which is not due to a pre-existing condition. I am going to appeal the decision, and will furthermore report to the CA department of consumer insurance.

best prices and most coverage
We were looking online for insurance for our new puppy that was reasonable and comprehensive. Puppies can get into trouble so we wanted to be covered for accidents and for the remote possibility of future health issues. No insurance company will cover pre-existing health conditions so best to have insurance before any health issues arise down the way. Furkin delivered with a lower deductible than other companies for the same amount or even more coverage! Best prices and most coverage. Itâs good to know our little goofy floof is protected.

If you want to pay Trupanion to protect your pet, make sure of your pet's history, because a minimum exam will NOT be paid with a minimum problem that you have had. My example is with cats. They usually have urine infections, even if they are minimal and if you put a Trupanion insurance on them later, even if it is a small urine infection. When your cat is older and as almost always happens, your cat has kidney problems, he will not pay any of these expenses that you have in this regard. In other words. look with the same magnifying glass to enroll them and spend that monthly money. because they will look with a bigger magnifying glass so as not to pay you. Also, as soon as they received my first medical bills after 3 years they sent a note that my insurance would go from $120 to $160. CUIDADO Si quieres pagar Trupanion para proteger a tu mascota, asegúrate del historial de tu mascota, porque NO se pagará un examen mínimo con un problema mínimo que hayas tenido.
