I had major medical for 7 1/2 years
I had major medical for 7 1/2 years, never needed to use it. Nationwide cancelled my insurance in 2 months after he turned 8. Can’t trust Nationwide, they took my money, increased premium each year and just cancelled the insurance I never even used.

The price keeps going up every year
The price keeps going up every year. I pay more for my dogs insurance than I pay for my own health insurance. Not sure I will continue.

Unhappy, Not Company
Most importantly, their premiums are raised annually at a higher rate. At least $40-$50 more a month. I've been with them for 5 years and sorry I picked them. Unfortunately, other insurance companies will not cover pre-existing conditions even if they are minor like an ear infection. Also, their operational phone hours are short. You're lucky to reach them before they close for the day. I should have gone with Trupanion.

Avoid
Avoid. They will increase the price exponentially as your pet ages. It started at at $30 and now it’s over $220 and that is after decreasing reimbursement level and increasing deductible. They also use your reimbursement level towards your deductible so if your deductible is $1000 and your reimbursement level is 50%, you really have to pay $2000 before insurance kicks in (this is not how most insurances work). I’ve had this insurance the whole life of my dog and regret every month, but now I need to keep it since she is so old. Do your research before getting insurance.
