Payment of Claims

I have full coverage on my cat which includes preventative. I have been disapppointed in the reimbursement. She has had teeth removed two times that were infected and they said this is pre existing condition. Therefore, only a portion of her bill was reimbursed. Out of $1200 for the last extraction done, I was only reimbursed $235. Since I have full coverage on my cat I don't understand how an infected tooth is pre existing. I really can't change insurance companies at this point because she is now 7 years old. I signed her up as a kitten so it would be more expensive if I changed.

Highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

I would highly recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance for every pet owner. Healthy Paws have saved me so much money over the past 5 and a half years. I have three cats that have had numerous claims over this period of time. First of all I highly suggest getting pet insurance the same day you bring a pet into your home. Healthy Paws is very responsive and very quick to reimburse directly into your bank account. They make it so easy to submit a claim and the explanation of benefits are very understandable. Again I highly recommend healthy paws pet insurance. Thank you Healthy Paws.

Skip it. Not worth the $$

As my dogs were aging, I got the insurance, trying to be financially responsible. One of the worst financial decisions I've made. I've spent over $6k for two dogs in 3 years; the premiums increase each year. AND they denied the ONE claim I submitted, for my dog's euthanasia. It's a scam.

Pets Best Continues to Impress

Pet's Best continues to impress. After just submitting claims for bladder stones surgery and follow up, we found that our pup had a mass on his thyroid which needed to be removed. Pets Best covered the consult, the surgery and post-op follow-up all per the policy. The premiums continue to go up as the dog ages, but I believe that they have been worth it. As this is our first dog, I wasn't even sure about buying pet insurance and many people told me it was not needed, but every Vet I've been to has told us what a smart decision it was, and Pets Best continues to prove them right. We may need to have follow up cancer treatment for our dog, and having Pets Best really does help to make decisions about our dog's care easier. Thank you Pets Best.

Please stay away from Pets Best I insurance

Pet’s worst insurance. You pay Les for policy but you had nothing in return. They find way to reject your claim. Please don’t waist your time and money- stay away from this insurance company.

The name of this Insurance Co should be PetsWorst

They denied my claim because they said my pet was injured before the 6 mos wait period. They based this on some commentary in the medical record that stated my dog was injured with horseplay on 12/24. I never even presented to the ER vet until 1/2 and my dog was alone with me out of state as I was visiting my daughter while she was giving birth to my GS and we were staying at an Airbnb. There was no other dog present and we had traveled to the place on 12/22. So, something was put in the medical record by mistake evidently. They make you go through a 90 day appeal process and I have to get records revised. This should not be the case. I presented with dog on 1/2 and got surgery on 1/3. Heresay and commentary by whomever in a medial record should not be basis to deny a claim. If the dog was injured on 12/24, then I would have presented on 12/24. I do not recommend this insurance and I'm sorry I wasted my money on it.

$$$ - Fetch can change policy yearly.

When we signed up, our fee was 35/month, 500$ deductible with 80% covered. Our dog had two claims, acl tears on back legs. After the first claim, they increased slightly (monthly amout), and after the 2nd claim, they increased deductible by 500$ to 1000$, decreased coverage by 30% to 50% from 80% and decreased fee by 20$ a month. After a closer review of the policy, it states that Fetch can chance the policy EVERYTIME it renews, so yearly. We can't even go to another insurance company now because of her preexisting conditions.

seizures galore

Over a period of 1 year & 1/2 our cat had multiple seizures and eventually wasted away because he would not eat. The last few weeks of his life were with a feeding tube. Trupanion never questioned the procedures used ,and they were many, and their online payment system made paying simple and trouble free. I had chosen Trupanion specifically because there was no limit to their insurance with a very reasonable premium. Other companies no limit policies cost 3 times as much.

Don’t buy aspca insurance

At first it was ok. My policy says 80-90% return back. last few claims I’ve received about 40% back they have every excuse mostly they say customary charges. But I’ve been to a few different vets and they say they all charge to much so they can’t pay me. So I reported them through a complaint.
