Pets Best Insurance is the Best
I am very pleased with my insurance coverage with Pets Best. I purchased the Wellness and the Illness coverages to make sure my little girl gets the best treatment. I chose the 90% reimbursement and no limit on the regular coverage, at less than $100 a month my girl is completely covered from head to tail. Pets Best paid my claim fast, their service is awesome, their people are wonderful, helpful, courteous and friendly. All of which makes for a great experience when you have to use your insurance. I will keep Pets Best. It is definitely one of the best insurance carriers for animals. If anyone needs insurance for their pets, you should check out Pets Best.
Easy to claim
My pup was diagnosed with a heart issue when you she went in to be spayed. Special tests were needed as well as expensive medication and a cardiologist. We went with the 80% coverage and every claim was covered and paid quickly. The price of the insurance was reasonable compared to the one that my vet had set up for instant claim in the office. Claiming is simple and I have to do it for my own medical too so not a big deal.

6+ Years with Healthy Paws and Very Pleased!
I have had Healthy Paws for my pets for close to 7 years now. We have a $500 deductible and 90% reimbursement rate. In 2020, my long haired dachshund landed herself in the ER when her gums turned blue and she collapsed. The vet bill turned out to be somewhere around $3,500. HP reimbursed to the levels I stated above and I could not have been happier. As they tried to figure out what caused my dog to collapse, they wanted to order more tests, and I gladly said yes knowing I had such great coverage for her. Next up, my cat developed heart disease at the relatively young age of 2 and had to get regular cardio exams and medications. HP was great here too, as we hit our $500 deductible each year and then I’d receive reimbursements for the services my cat needed that went above this cost. In September 2023, my other dachshund became paralyzed and had to undergo emergency spinal surgery for IVDD. This is the main reason I got pet insurance in the first place. Since then, my dog recovered well, and then herniated another disc, had surgery again, and HP reimbursed to our levels BOTH times. The surgeries were pretty much life saving for my dog, as the chances of her walking again without either surgery was extremely low. In my policy, HP does not cover wellness exams or specialty vet exams, and the cost has increased somewhat every year. Even with these two points, I am still confident in my choice and repeatedly pleased with the service we have from HP Paws. I’m so SO thankful that I can continue to provide the best medical care to my pets knowing that I have a policy with this company. Thank you Healthy Paws.

Maybe I got lucky....
I was reading some of the previous reviews and was a little stunned to see how bad they were. I bought pet insurance for my dogs and was delighted to discover that they have a family plan at MetLife which is cheaper and it enables me to get unlimited coverage. We're always hoping we don't need insurance but I did. I had a $6,200 bill for Max and I thought this is going to take a while because it's a new insurance company for us they're going to have to get all of his old records review everything.. I was prepared to wait while my credit cards gained interest. Much to my astonishment my claim was paid today just one week later after the incident and probably 6 days after filing. I didn't have to fight with anyone they covered everything they said they would and the payment was in my bank account less than an hour after I chose my method of payment. I'm so very pleased but I'm a little scared because of all the bad reviews I've read. At this point though I can only recommend MetLife, they have done a really good job for us
corrupt!! do a deep research before you sign
Avoid choosing Petplan for your pet insurance needs. Despite having coverage for my three cats for seven years, they consistently raise rates annually and possess the authority to make changes at their discretion, as outlined in the policy documents. Recently, upon my cat turning seven, they decreased coverage from 90% to 60%. The customer service experience is abysmal, with unhelpful and impolite representatives, including managers who seem uninformed. Unfortunately, switching to another provider isn't an option due to preexisting condition clauses. Petplan operates with minimal accountability, leaving policyholders powerless. Exercise caution when selecting a pet insurance provider, as once committed, options become limited. Numerous negative reviews echo my sentiments, revealing a pattern of dissatisfaction with Petplan's practices.

Excellent coverage, responsive and caring customer service
We have been Healthy Paws customers since we got our dog back in 2020. We knew we wanted pet insurance all along because it takes the financial question out of big medical decisions when your pup needs medical care, and reduces financial risk to our family so we know we can take care of our pup no matter what life throws at us. We shopped around looking at a bunch of different insurance companies, and eventually settled on Healthy Paws because the coverage is great and the cost is competitive. After being customers for four years and using our insurance to file claims for a few health issues our pet has been affected by, we could not be happier Healthy Paws customers. Submitting a claim is SO EASY, just submit the itemized invoice with no written explanation required, and they process the claim quickly. We take our checks in the mail, but direct deposit is an option as well if you want reimbursement more quickly. Customer service has been responsive and kind whenever we've needed it. We had one claim that was borderline regarding whether we were covered or not, and while it was initially rejected even the appeal process was convenient and Healthy Paws customer support has been excellent throughout. We would highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone.

RUN FAR RUN FAST
Pets Best is horrible. When I bought the insurance I had no idea my dog was going to injure his cruciate. In the plan, it won't cover cruciate injuries for six months after purchasing the insurance. I understand that due to dogs blowing cruciates and people buying insurance to cover it. However, he DID blow the second one after the six-month waiting period, and Best Pets denied the claim stating it was a pre-existing condition. He had NOT blown EITHER cruciate at the time I purchased the insurance and thus, the condition was NOT pre-existing. He blew the first one five months into the plan. I could have waited and filed a claim after the six-month waiting period but it wouldn't have been fair to the dog. To make matters worse, they RAISED MY RATES without notification. They raised it by ten dollars. Some insurances would have covered both cruciates and if not the first, the last. The customer service got a 3 because they answered the phone and the person on the other end was pleasant. They got a 2 on the ease of filing a claim because my vet sent in my pet's records 3 times and Pets Best said they never received it. I had to go and upload all the records myself. It was frustrating. I should have done better research because others have had the same problem with raising the rates and filing claims. Others have experienced long, drug-out claims reimbursement. I will research other insurances for my new puppy and switch my other dog.

Getting ripped off and not happy
I have two dogs that are approximately 10 years old. Up until now they're premiums were about $10 apart. But I guess because I file a lot of claims on one of my dogs even though I've never reached the $5,000 maximum payout Pet's best decided that they would just practically double my premium without providing me an adequate explanation and you can't get anybody on the phone to explain it either. I think they're trying to make up for the fact that I do have claims paid even though they never exceed $2,000 for the year. so now my policy went from 1000 a year to 1800 a year. Meanwhile my male dog similar in age and hardly any claims, his premium stays the same. I think they're trying to get money back from claims that they paid and they're not providing and explanation. I'm considering following a complaint to the attorney general for unfair business practice.

Fetch by the Dodo
I have had the Fetch insurance on my German Shepherd Dog since he was 3 months old Insurance is expensive but is well worth having My dog had surgery and ended up with an infection and Fetch paid a considerable amount of the bill which was $2,000.00.
It's paid for itself!
Healthy Paws is a great insurer for both my rescued greyhounds that were racer's in Tijuana, MX. I've insure them since their adoptions. Overall the price is reasonable and does increase with the age of the pet, not the number of claims. My male has developed 2 autoimmune diseases and sees a Dermatologist and an Internist. He's also had a dog attack along with other mishaps requiring emergency care and surgeries. Overall the claim process is a snap and I'm reimbursed direct deposit in 1 - 2 days. I couldn't be happier!
