I have had metLife pet insurance now…
I have had metLife pet insurance now for some 7 years / two different dogs and it has been very worthwhile - but will say when i first subscribed it was for catostrophic purpose and was $35 a month i am now more than triple this cost for same coverage and a deductible of $250 -for 5k - I do think it has gotten pricey - and hoping that the renewal isn't double this year what i pay now because i will have to seek other companies -

French Bulldog parent, Happy Customer
We purchased our policy for our French Bulldog when he was 6 weeks- or so- of age and we had it until he passed away. The terms of our policy were easy to understand. When I called for clarification about a claim- the customer service representative was helpful and knowledgeable. 9 times out our 10- the app was easy to use to submit claims and check on their status. The text alerts were very helpful and welcomed. Email communication of the claim processing was also helpful. We appreciated the email from PetsBest when our little guy passed away unexpectedly. I have found Pets Best so easy to work with and so reasonable- that I recommended them to a new French Bulldog parent that I met in the pet store. She was not aware of the need for pet insurance when becoming a French Bulldog parent. Our experience has been so good- that I also recommended Pets Best to a coworker who was wanting to purchase insurance- as a gift- to her daughter for her new mixed breed puppy. Thank you, Pets Best for being so easy to work with for the past 4.5 years- it was a nice, unexpected, surprise.

Consider an Alternative
Rates have gone up twice in less than two years, and the coverage is abysmal. $50 coverage for a $130 checkup?? I've been paying $80 a month for almost two years now and am seriously considering switching.

My question was never answered as to…
My question was never answered as to how do I report visits to Pumpkin for reimbursement. Maybe if someone would contact me with an answer I could give a better rating. If not, I’ll be cancelling with Pumpkin and looking elsewhere for pet insurance. The amount I’m paying in insurance monthly would be better used as savings for when my boys need to visit the vet.

Pumpkin Pet Insurance
We've been with Pumpkin Pet Insurance for a little over a year & just had to file our first claim. Filing was easy, the team were able to go over the claim in a timely manner. We went with this pet insurance because of all the medical stuff that they cover, the adjustable policies & the reimbursement rates.

It is 7 years I have Nationwide pet…
It is 7 years I have Nationwide pet insurance for my rabbits. All over the years they made an unbelievable increase of the price from $11 to $70-80 a month especially for old rabbits with $250 annual deductible, but the annual refund for everything (except wellness) was 70% of the veterinarian invoice until $10.000 per year. Well, now Nationwide replaced this policy with a very poor one: only 50% of the veterinarian invoice until $3000 annual refund for illness but they kept $250 deductible. On this way they will penalize small/exotic pet to prioritize dogs and cats. With this big change people maybe be discouraged to adopt an exotic pet from a shelter. Very very sad and disappointed !
