Preexisting Conditions

I adopted a cat and half the time, things aren't covered because they're 'preexisting conditions'. I adopt because I like to support animals who need it most.. but this doesn't help ME who also needs the financial help. Very upsetting and disheartening.

Exceptional customer service & claims…

Pumpkin Pet insurance is reasonable with their rates. In addition, the customer service and claim department have been exceptional. They communicate well and process claims in an expedient manner. I highly recommend Pumpkin Pet Insurance. They helped me save my dogs life.

Awful

I’ve been with this insurance for over a year, only had one claim and it took months when they guaranteed only a couple weeks. Customer service tells you as little as possible so you have to call back once a week to get any information and hope you get a good representative that can answer questions. I also had problems with payments, and they tell me it’s a system error and I have an extension to pay it, but no one calls me back to set up payment days and then I receive a cancellation email, which was a breach of the extension. So so many problems with this insurance since being with them. Would not recommend ever and will actively be encouraging friends and family to stay far away from it.

A waste of money!

I first had the Pets Best package for both my French Bulldog and my Doberman pincer which for a regular routine visit you practically paid for nothing so then after you raise my rates to a whopping $250 for two dogs a month I dropped it down to accident and illness to which paid absolutely nothing when my Doberman died I will not eat it this policy and would not recommend your company to anybody!

The best insurance

Always processes my claims on a reasonable time. It is so reassuring that spot will have my back whenever my pets get sick and in an emergency. I have recommended spot to 4 other people that needed insurance and they like it too. The price is incredibly reasonable as well.

MetLife pet used to be great

MetLife pet used to be great. Prices have skyrocketed and more claims that used to be approved are now denied. Look elsewhere.

Paws Above the Rest!

I’ve had different pet insurers over the years but kept switching because one thing or another didn’t agree with me. Spot is paws above them all. I did a lot of research when I decided to switch plans a few years ago and chose Spot after speaking with them. They had no problem covering my old timers, which is rare. In terms of policies, premiums, coverage and customer service, I’ve never been happier.

I want to love Embrace…but I don’t.

I want to love Embrace, but the rates at which my pet insurance has increased over the last 6 years makes it an exceptionally poor investment. By all rights, I have had very few (and all rather low-cost) claims, but the annual rate has gone up over $2000 (yes, you read that right). Meanwhile, a quote on a new policy with Embrace would cut the cost by over $800 (with no exclusions / no pre-existing conditions). Yet, they refuse to provide continuity of coverage at the newer member rate. The long and short of it is, you’re penalized for staying with them over a long time, and their customer service, while wonderful, is not worth being taken advantage of as they bank on customer inertia and fear of switching to make $$ on our lovable furballs. Truly unfortunate. Save your $$ and go with another company that will provide comparable (or even better!) coverage at a more reasonable rate.

Unethical company

Premiums will more than double as pet gets older. My cat got diagnosed with a Heart murmur.. they doubled my premium the following renewal, then the following year they dropped my reimbursement and raised my deductible. So now that my cat has a condition, they find a way not to pay. And it’s too late to switch companies because now it’s a pre-existing condition.
