I’ve been a member for 5 years and…
I’ve been a member for 5 years and after my credit card declined because I was sent a new one you canceled my policy. I thought I had resolved this but when I signed on today it was still cancelled. I have a newborn baby so I don’t have time to sit on hold for hours so I emailed support they did not help me and instead told me I can call another department to reenroll. It’s bullshit so now I have to reenroll online and pay more even though I tried to resolve this when it first happened. Horrible customer service for someone who has two pets with you for 5 years with no payment issues. But what else is new. Human health care is a scam why not pet insurance to!!!!

New policy for Bella
Josh Sabado was the rep that was helping me set up an insurance policy for my dog. He was thorough and took the time to explain everything to me and answer any/all questions. Josh even follow-up with me in setting up the policy knowing I have a tight deadline before Bella's current policy expires.

Pet's Best has performed as advertised
Pet's Best has performed as advertised. They have paid all applicable claims. They communicate timely. You must be able to provide specific information for the claim. I am unable to upload claim information to their website, but they have a workaround with email. It just takes longer. The cost is appropriate.

Good insurance company that's fast to process claims
Spot Pet Insurance has decent rates and is quick to process my claims and provide payout once I've met the deductible. I appreciate that they have an option to cover everything--including regular routine visits--so they can also be applied to the deductible. I'm glad to know my pets are covered.

Terrible Customer Service & Offerings
I've been with Trupanion for six years and have both of my dogs insured through them. Up until now, I've stayed with them largely because of the convenience. They work directly with many veterinary clinics, which makes the claims process easy. Unfortunately, my recent experience with customer service has completely changed my opinion. Over the years, my monthly premiums have continued to increase, but my deductible has remained the same. My dogs are healthy, and I rarely come close to meeting my deductible, so I called to ask if there was any flexibility after being a loyal customer for six years. The first representative I spoke with via chat simply told me there was nothing they could do because I chose that deductible when I signed up, and once you're enrolled, you can't change it. She ended the chat without offering any alternatives or trying to help. I then called to file a complaint about the interaction. While the second representative was more polite, I was essentially told the same thing: my deductible can never be changed. The only options offered were to reduce my coverage in exchange for a lower monthly premium. In other words, I could pay less each month only by accepting worse coverage. What I don't understand is why premiums can continue to increase year after year, but customers have no ability to adjust their deductible as their needs change. That policy makes very little sense to me. I've also spoken with other Trupanion clients and my veterinarian, and many have significantly lower deductibles than I do while paying similar, or even lower, monthly premiums. I don't recall being offered those options when I enrolled. I'm disappointed that after six years of loyalty and very few claims, there was no effort to retain me or work with me in any meaningful way. Good customer service matters, especially in a competitive industry. I still think Trupanion's direct-pay system with many veterinary clinics is a real advantage. However, if you're considering Trupanion, do your homework, read the fine print carefully, and make sure you fully understand your deductible because, in my experience, you're locked into it for the life of your pet. For the first time in six years, I'm seriously considering switching companies and will be shopping around for quotes. I simply expected better treatment as a long-term customer.

Easy to understand
Easy to understand - deductible to coverage policy limit seemed fair.

You’ve raised my rate EVERY year and…
You’ve raised my rate EVERY year and say it’s “keeping with rising vet costs.” My vet bills haven’t changed at all. The only cost that rises is my pet insurance. It’s a little ridiculous. For what I’m paying I shouldn’t have to pay for the amount of stuff I still wind up paying for.

Website is very easy to use and…
Website is very easy to use and navigate. The premiums are competitive and much better than our previous pet insurance. The best option is being able to add wellness benefits. Most other pet insurance companies do not have this option. We have not filed any claims, so I am not able to comment on ease of filing or approval of claims at this time. Time will tell......
