Great protection
I'm so thankful to have pet insurance from my dog who recently was diagnosed with cancer. It's a shocking diagnosis but I'm so grateful to have the support of insurance during this difficult time.

Good service but too expensive.
Good service, but too expensive. I don't like that I have to pay extra for an alternative care rider. Trupanion's representatives are always friendly and nice.

Have had Trupanion for 5 years
Have had Trupanion for 5 years with my dog Junior. I like the Simple claims process. Knowledgeable staff who answered my questions quickly and clearly. 90% of a accident or illness, no limits or restrictions on problem pets. Lots of reasons to recommend Trupanion. Mostly the simplicity of the program with no tiers or payment limits. :)

Insurance is simple and straightforward
Insurance is simple and straightforward, easy to submit claims. Always friendly when I call and I have a puppy that has needed emergency care and there is something to be said about having peace of mind when faced with a sick pet. We are so happy we chose trupamion! I've already recommended to friends with puppies!

Our rescue dog has had challenges since we brought her home but Nationwide has been with us each step of the way. Great service and piece of mind
My greyhound, Cowboy, went through a rough time with the removal of a cancerous mass and the discovery that his kidney's are not functioning up to par. We spent at least 1 day per week at the vet's office for a while, and that can run into hundreds of dollars. We were so glad we had ASPCA pet insurance. It helped cover the high cost of vet care. Cowboy is doing great!

If only human insurance could be so easy!
This company is wonderful. You take a photo of your vet bill, send it using the healthy paws phone app, and they reimburse you a few days later. They cover what they say they will cover, no questions asked. It allows you to take your pet to the hospital when they need it without having to worry how on earth you'll be able to pay the bills afterwards. Just two weeks ago our extra small mini dachshund, who'd been kind of lethargic for a few days and not eating or drinking, started throwing up copious amounts of blood. A quick/frantic google search hinted to me that it might be Hemorrhagic Gastroententiritis, and not wanting to take any risks, I bundled her up into the car with the kids and brought her straight to the hospital. I'd read that in small breeds in particular this kind of illness could have serious repercussions if not dealt with right away. The doctor confirmed it was GH and said we'd been smart to go directly to the hospital. They put her on an IV and medication and kept her overnight. Late the next day we brought her back home and a few days later, she was back to normal. Healthy Paws covered it all and even sent me a personal email asking me how she was doing. (The idea that Blue Cross Blue Shield would want to find out how I was doing after processing one of my medical claims is comical....in a sad, sad sort of way.) Anyway: get this insurance. They're affordable and they honor the terms of your contract. And they're super nice.
