Huge stress reliever!
My sweet pup was attacked by a loose dog on our usual walk and it was devastating. Thank goodness we have Healthy Paws pet insurance because the vet bills were so high ($8k!!). It was a huge huge huge stress reliever to know that I had insurance for my pup and that there was no question about getting her the treatment she needed for a full recovery. It was super easy to submit the invoices via the app and I was reimbursed 80% (Based on the plan I chose) within days. This enabled me to pay off all the bills I had to put on my credit card while I deal with the owners of the other dog. The attack was a nightmare and I'm just so happy this process was easy!!

Trupanion is Excellent!
More than seven years ago I researched health insurance plans for our Standard Manchester Terrier even before we acquired her as a new puppy. As it quickly appeared to stand out above the other companies at that time, we promptly registered with Trupanion. As it turned out, we did require coverage for our dear Luna’s few, mostly chronic, health issues that emerged over the years. We have found that our expectations have been exceeded continuously by Trupanion. Trupanion has not only assisted us to ease our expenses significantly for veterinary care, but has done so in the most positive, kind and helpful manner, whether in emails or by phone. When a claim is submitted on line, which is simple to do, the response by Trupanion is amazing both in its being immediate and also in being completely explanatory about the details of coverage for the particular claim. We are kept informed clearly and fully about every step in the claim process. We have found that Trupanion’s calculations are always accurate, and that the claim payments are very prompt and without any wrangling. Support from Trupanion is a different experience in contrast to dealing with other (non-pet) insurance companies. Trupanion has even made suggestions to us about the way to be sure we get the full coverage for our premium, and more than once we have been surprised by Trupanion providing benefits that we missed seeing in the necessary “small print” in our contract! Having needed to submit many claims and to meet a few, serious, condition-specific deductible limits over the past seven years, we must rate Trupanion as 10 stars out of a possible 10, with no reservations at all. As two pensioners on a limited income and being on the verge of 80 years old, we firmly believe that the monthly premium we pay to Trupanion for insurance coverage for our loved pet is well worth every dollar. Several times over the past years I have praised Trupanion to our veterinary service and, in some detail, have highly recommended this company to acquaintances met in the local dog park and on daily walks. We are obviously very grateful to Trupanion for its always supportive words and ongoing financial assistance with keeping our loved companion energetically alive and in as good health as possible. Very Responsive _ Best Insurance a Family could provide for their 4-legged family member.
When our Yellow Lab ( Sandi) had to go to the Vet because she was limping. The Animal Hospital took great care of Sandi and even though the Bills added a little burden to our finances, Nationwide Insurance was the Best in reimbursing. Happy I decided to get insurance for my dog
I appreciate the security that comes with knowing unexpected expenses will be covered by Nationwide Pet Insurance. We recently discovered a cyst in my dog's tail . Surgery will cost over $1000. I don't have to stress about paying for treatment knowing that I will be reimbursed by Nationwide.

Completely unacceptable that coverage was denied.
Completely unacceptable that coverage was denied. I feel like this coverage is a scam. Not only is my injured dog getting denied treatment on behalf of a company who claims to care for your pets but now I'm paying extra money a month for nothing. This company needs to listen to their clients.

Didn't worry about money
In my dog's final weeks, I was constantly going to the vet and uploading claims information. I was so grateful that I could do what I needed to for him without having to worry about money. The claims process is so easy. Even his euthanasia and cremation were covered. I can't say it eased the pain, but it definitely didn't make it worse for me.
