Doesn't cover wellness
I didn't realize that trupanion doesn't cover wellness exams so my bill was larger than I expected. However, because my cat has a heart problem, I'm staying with trupanion because I know it will be worthwhile down the line. Now, I know I need to save up throughout the year for her annual wellness exam.

Customer service was so nice
My husband just died & the bank cancelled my Mastercard number before I had time to close off my accounts. When called Customer Service was so nice & asked me if I needed more time. That was better then the BMO bank that gave me no warning!! But still feel I am paying too much for the insurance.

Process was super easy to submit a claim.
My doggo injured himself running up some stairs. There was no swelling, he's a large dog, and we were watching a small lump on the back of his ear, so we x-rayed his back legs for any signs of bone cancer and removed the lump for biopsy. Luckily, all clear, and learned that even for his size, age and activity level he is still completely arthritis-free! The cost, however, was quite scary, and this is the first time I've submitted for a claim with Pets Best. The process was super easy, and it turns out my peace of mind was mostly covered aside from my deductible and a small co-pay. Makes me feel a lot better about preventative care/upkeep kind of visits to the vet! Thank you for making everything so easy!

Health insurance on a senior d…
Health insurance on a senior dog is expensive, even with a high deductible and co-pay, so I am delighted to trim my vet bill down a bit on this occasion - locating and removing a foxtail.

Claims process is easy. We have had Pets best for 2 dogs for 12 years now. Premiums are high compared to other pet insurances. Friendly and helpful staff.

I received an approval
I received an approval for a pacemaker implant procedure for my dog on 9/7. My out of pocket was listed as $591.40. Today, 9/10,I get another approval for the same procedure listing my out of pocket as $794.80. Trupanion excluded the recheck basic exam which I understand. Trupanion has also excluded post-op doctor supervision..that s not an exam...It's monitoring after a surgical procedure!

It's financially hard
It's financially hard enough to go through what we have just went through with Mia.. Just knowing if she would ever need the back surgery is a relief that it will be covered
