Reason for getting pet insurance
Reason for getting pet insurance. I was reluctant to get pet insurance but the dog we adopted was 9 years old at the time. Although her spaying wasn't covered, she was a breeding dog and needed to be spayed, most of her other charges have been covered which has been a godsend.

I signed up for the 30 day FREE offer…
I signed up for the 30 day FREE offer and then went to continue coverage had a financial hardship come up so I had to cancel the next day. Well guess what that 30 day free offer wasn’t actually free they charged me $50 and didn’t give me the full refund they promised!!! I got an email saying if you cancel within 30 days you get a FULL REFUND!!! This isn’t true they are scammers that want an arm and a leg to cover your pet. Just go with care credit and another insurance that doesn’t overly charge you and tell you lies! These aren’t people who care about our pets they care about your money and will go against the emails they send. Don’t believe anything they tell you!!!! The claim they said that happened during the supposedly free 30 days was never processed I still had to pay with care credit and told them to cancel the claim since I had to pay anyways out of pocket which is against the point of having their insurance. Worse experience ever with them!

Very pleased with the simplicity of submitting claims and the timely refund . I purchased insurance for my weimaraner just in case something catastrophic were to happen. I opted for a high deductible and 20% co-pay. Unfortunately my dog became ill in Dec. and I don't have the added stress of dealing with all the vet bills. Highly recommend Spot Pet Insurance

My biggest complaint is the considerable increase in the monthly premium for 4 year-old Riley (from $95.36 to almost $133.00 for an additional cost of $450 for the year). Rather than increase the annual benefit slightly I would have preferred seeing the $250 annual deductible reduced.

Disgusting unethical company that must be avoided if you love your pets
A horrible, dishonest company that only cares about taking as much money from you as possible. I wish I'd never signed up. First of all, they were recently sold or acquired by Chubb, and since then the customer service and coverage has gone way down and the costs have skyrocketed. They tried to force me to accept a new monthly premium that was more than twice what I was paying before every month for considerably less coverage. Also, no matter your deductible, they apply your *reimbursement percentage* to your net bill. So if your policy is for 90% reimbursement and you pay $500 for your pet's care (all covered procedures/medications under your policy), and your deductible is $250, you're probably thinking they'll reimburse 90% of the rest of your bill, which is $250. Except these greedy hacks actually reduce your entire bill by 90% before applying the deductible, so by their assertion your bill was only $450. Your maximum reimbursement will always be less because of their unfair math. I canceled my policy immediately and went to a competitor. Better coverage and a much lower premium. I really hope this company goes out of business for their predatory approach to pet lovers. I'm sorry for all the good-hearted people who work there but the company's soul is black.

The premium got very pricey after 2nd yr renewal. It went up over 25/m per dog. In hindsight I can say it was worth it due to having the first claim a few months later. Once I made the claim they missed the diagnostic part of exam and denied it. They corrected it but after making a few calls and having to follow up a few times which was too much work and time spent, they finally corrected it so I very pleased they made it right. Almost all of the reps are helpful and professional. It’s just the constant following up that’s frustrating. Met life kept asking by email for the shipping date of a medication which was sent multiple times and kept emailing me it would be denied if I didn’t submit. So again I had to call two more times to finally get it resolved. I think they should be more proactive getting it rectified quickly. In the end, they reimbursed all of the claim. I’m hoping as time goes on I’ll see improvement in that department.

AWESOME Pet Insurance
AWESOME Pet Insurance, I couldn't have chosen a better Pet Insurance for my adopted Shepherdore. It only took me less than 10 min to view the top 10 best pet insurance, to select Pumkin Pet Insurance, and I'm glad I did b/c, now that I've chosen Pumpkin Pet Insurance who have already reimbursed me for my pet's 1st routine vaccinations treatment, without any hassles, I notices other pet insurance may have good coverage regarding surgical procedures for pets, sadly and unfortunately many do not cover nor reimburse for routine care & vaccination treatment. Hands Down, as a first-time adult pet owner since having a dog & cat when I was a child, I will say, I did right for myself, and for my pet to choose Pumpkin Pet Insurance.

Great experience purchasing pet insurance through MetLife. Clear options, straightforward pricing, and an easy enrollment process. The employer discount made the plan an excellent value, and I appreciated how simple it was to understand the coverage. Very satisfied with the overall experience
