Nationwide covers bunnies!!!

So blessed that Nationwide covers rabbits! I got connected with Elaine and she was one of the nicest people I have ever talked with on the phone. I could seriously tell that she cared about making sure I was informed in making my decision for my bunny. The monthly payments are affordable and it’s nice to know I now have a safety net to rely on if something were to happen to my sweet girl. Thank you Nationwide and thank you to Elaine!!

The agent was especially kind

The agent was especially kind. The coverage is a little pricey and only covers 80% of the expens but I do have 6 rabbits so there's that.

The ease of submitting a claim

From the time I submit a claim to the time I receive the EOB for the service is incredibly fast. I can appreciate that so much. They also have an incredible customer service staff

Healthy Paws Doesn't Care

Healthy Paws continuously raises their rates with some very large increases year over year. Despite having a policy with 90% coverage since 2016 a new policy of Healthy Paws is to cover a maximum of 70% while still charging outrageous amounts. You won't be grandfathered when changes are made to the financial benefit of the company. Since previous conditions are not covered by insurance I suggest choosing wisely and Healthy Paws is not the path to take.

What started great has gone horribly…

What started great has gone horribly wrong. About six months into my policy with Trupanion, my dog suddenly started having clusters of seizures. Luckily it was covered. But then suddenly they raised my rates from $150/month to $188/month. Now they did it again and have raised it to $252/month. They know I can't leave without losing coverage on my dog. Watch out for these guys. They seem like a good company, until you actually need them. Will not be recommending them ever again.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Don't waste your money. We have never had pet insurance before… And after dealing with Petsbest for 7 months and getting all types of excuses and denials (and then told I'm only halfway to meeting the $500 deductible)...I canceled.

Dissatisfied

Claim turnaround time is longer than usual lately. Filed claim with RX number on receipt and sent photo of label. Figo is requesting more paperwork! This is ridiculous. Hire English speaking reps who are knowledgeable. Service has gone downhill & premiums are higher than ever. A unsatisfied long-time customer.

🛑 Red flag

🛑 Red flag I enrolled my Golden Retriever puppy immediately after I brought her home at 12 weeks old. My monthly premium with a 550 deductible was 96$ a month. 1 year later my policy renewal, premium is now 121$. This is ridiculous. Never once filed a claim, my girl is Healthy with no medical issues. sorry but TruPanion needs to do better than this. I was blinded by there statement of they pay the Vet directly. Only recommend if you don’t mind premium increase of 25$ a year

Terrible vendor. Website and app down since Nov 2025

I've had Pets Best for over three years now and when finally seeking to get reimbursement for coverable elements of my dogs annual checkup, found both their app and website are not only down, they've been down since November 2025! This is ridiculous in this day and age. Have been trying for a solid week to reach them through their phone line to no avail and now will have to file through email. Suffice to say that I will be canceling my plan after this. It's ridiculous to pay $720 a year for insurance that I cannot get assistance
