My monthly coverage price has increased by over 34% from year one to year two. Talk about bait and switch

Premium skyrocketed
I signed up with MetLife pet insurance three years ago. I, unfortunately, expect small premium increases each year but this year (2026) my premium went up by more than 50% — almost $1000. And that is with a discount for paying it in full! For context, I had no vets visits in the past year with the exception of my dog’s annual wellness/vaccines. My dog turned five this year so he’s not even that old. It’s appalling and feels like a money grab. I do not recommend MetLife to others.

Good coverage
The process is so easy ..I just upload the visit docs and I wait for a determination..Also,I feel the cost is reasonable. My cat visits this past year have been quite expensive and I would have paid large vet bills out of pocket if I had not been covered by spot..Im glad I decided to go with this insurance..I feel confident that I'm doing my best to care for my cats health without the fear of catastrophic vet bills

Shop around first
Have this insurance for 5 years and my yearly bill went up $300 no major issues with my pet but they don't cover much. Don't pay out much $600+ health visit yearly they only pay out about$200. For what i pay i think i can get a different insurance for cheaper with at last 80-90% payout. It's a shamepost in still waiting for my claim money over a month now

Reliable coverage for my Great Dane’s hospital stay
I’ve had Fetch for a while, but I truly put them to the test when my Great Dane needed emergency care and ended up hospitalized. Dealing with a sick pet is stressful enough, but Fetch made the financial side easy. Claims Process: Super simple via the app. I just uploaded the medical records and itemized bills. Reimbursement: They processed the large claim quickly and the funds were in my account via direct deposit faster than I expected. Transparency: No hidden "giant breed" exclusions for the emergency care we received. If you have a large dog with high potential medical costs, I highly recommend Fetch.

Very prompt processing and payment
Very prompt processing and payment by direct deposit. Large deductible makes it difficult to collect smaller amounts. Ideally pet policies should have smaiier or no deductible. Deductibles, copayments and substantial monthly premiums really minimize insurance payments for pets unless the charges are for a catastrophic vlaim.
