Unfortunately the plan does not convert…
Unfortunately the plan does not convert the currency of the claim. I paid in USD and received the reimbursement in CAD. Even it is the policy, I don’t think it is fair, this is why you don’t have 5 stars.

Excellent service
Excellent service! After and almost $3000 emergency, we received reimbursement within days. This is my first time ever using pet insurance and I am beyond thrilled with how everything was handled. We were reimbursed exactly as much as we had expected.

It has helped
It has helped, once the deductible was met, to be able to afford the vet visits on illnesses. But I wish I knew before hand that they had special coverage for vaccinations or neutering, because all that was not covered.

Skyrocketing premiums
They state they don't raise rates for claims, but my premium has tripled over several years. I reduced coverage from 70 to 60% recently because of cost, changed my mind, called back the SAME DAY and they won't allow 70, 80, or 90% coverage anymore. When you ask them why you just get nonsense answers with no evidence such as "rising veterinarian costs, local rates". They have corrupt business practices and then you're stuck with them.

The service I have received over the…
The service I have received over the past several years has been excellent! Great communication and customer service. However, I feel that the premium rates have skyrocketed to the point where I'm paying a whole lot more and getting a whole lot less. Monthly premium went from around $160 to over $240!! There have been no big claims at all! I had no choice but to cancel.

It’s basically catastrophic insurance
It’s basically catastrophic insurance. To pay $120/mo then have a $550 deductible PER CONDITION, then to be told it doesn’t cover the office visit when our dog sliced his foot and needed stiches, doesn’t help us much.

It really is the best!
Our dog had been sick for days vomiting and refusing food, and because his X-rays showed gas buildup, our veterinarian decided on the fourth day to take him into emergency surgery to explore if there was a non metal obstruction in his intestines. Lo and behold, he had swallowed rubber from who knows where and it had completely blocked his small intestine! Because of the hospitalization, medications, and surgery, my husband and I had enormous bills which we had to split between credit cards. We'll do anything for our sweet pup, but it was a huge financial burden. We are so grateful to have Pets Best insurance!!! Within a few days, we heard from them that we'd met our deductible and received a line by line statement showing the majority of costs had been covered after the co-pay. I will never stop recommending pet insurance, specifically Pets Best, to my friends and coworkers with dogs and cats. This company has given us the ability to treat our pet without hesitation during medical emergencies like this one. It's worth it 100%.

Chief’s Review
So far Embrace has been excellent. They made it easy to set up and the cost seems reasonable. If I make a claim I will write another review.

I can always rely on my pet insurance…
I can always rely on my pet insurance plan and not hold back bringing my pets to the vet from worrying about costs. I can confidently bring them in knowing I won't have to pay too much out of pocket after the fact.
