Horrible claims processing

Horrible claims processing. Constantly promise they are on it and constantly do not deliver. Total waste of money. AVOID this company. They are worthless!

I was looking at a large bill because my cat had bladder stones. The insurance paid 90% leaving me with only a smaller amount to pay. I am very thankful for Trubanion. Jennie

Would not recommend this pet insurance

Would not recommend this pet insurance. I purchased it when my dog was a puppy. Not an extensive coverage- max 5000 claim and deductible was 500. Purchased for the ”just in case” rates increase so much over time- started at 20-23 dollars. Not one claim was made however by the time my dog was 7 the rate was close to 100 dollars per month. Never once made a claim on account. You are better to save your money for just incase than waste it on this insurance company. Complete waste of money- would not recommend - I had the least comprehensive plan.

The absolute worst pet insurance I have…

The absolute worst pet insurance I have ever had. I pay $60 a month and that doesn't cover wellness and I submit a $5,000 claim for an operation and get $900 back and this isn't the first time they hardly pay for anything and get their way out of everything. My advice don't waste your money

You find any and every excuse to deny claims. My pets are generally healthy and we take good care of them. I take them for a wellness visit and despite them receiving only routine care and me purchasing the upgraded our plan to cover wellness I get very small payments from you. I am not sure why I am paying $125 a month to you every month for you to reimburse me $40 for a $125 wellness visit for one pet. Seriously considering cancelling this.

Worth every penny

Honestly, when I took the offer from the rescue for a discounted plan for a few months, I thought it would be a scam of sorts and not cover things that popped up. Boy, was I wrong! Just over a month after bringing my puppy home, she was in agony and was no longer able to walk. After multiple vet visits and x-rays we found out she had a major bone infection in her pelvis. We incurred around $1444 in vet bills and were reimbursed $1028.10. This was after only two months of $17 payments for our plan. 100% worth the coverage and made the stress of having a sick puppy so much more manageable. I'll tell everyone I know, if you get a puppy or kitten, get Metlife Pet Insurance!
