Nationwide is 100% worth the money.
Nationwide is worth it for pet insurance. I probably pay more for insurance in the long run but knowing that if she does need the big things they are there for her.

Made the pain easier to bear
The cost of this policy is invaluable! It cost me almost $1,000 to treat my dog recently; Nationwide covered 90% of this cost because I had already met my $250 Annual deductible. So thankful that they didn’t do what most insurance companies do! And that is deny you claim hoping you will just go away. In fact they did the exact opposite! I submitted the claims while still at my vet. I took the pics of the receipts while in the vet office and uploaded them via the vitus vet app and 7-14 days later I received a reimbursement check from Nationwide no questions asked. And I’ll tell you my dog is fighting cancer and to not have to worry about the cost being reimbursed was amazing!!! Thank you Nationwide for not playing games with my claims.

Do your research-Buyer Beware
For one having a rescue dog and not allowing 'pre-existing conditions' as an exception is really not worth having insurance at all, especially for my rescue. He has a pre-existing eye condition which require daily drops and you don't cover the cost of the eye drops or his allergy medication. Additionally, having a per condition deductible is not worth having insurance at all. I've been lucky not having many medical issues for my dog, but at $90/month and calculating out the cost per year and for what you end up covering, I'm better off just paying out of pocket. I will be cancelling my subscription.

Great customer service but not happy about my 53.
Great customer service but not happy about my 53.8% premium increase this year. This caused me to go from a $0 to a $150 deductible in order to keep my monthly premium costs affordable. I appreciate that costs go up but 53.8% in one year?! This will have me recommending to my friends and family that they do some shopping around for pet insurance where, previously, I was just outright recommending Trupanion as the best that one could get.

I appreciate what Trupanion has done
I completely appreciate the care Trupanion has allowed us to give our dog. The is the glue that holds us together and we would be devastated if we lost her, especially if it was due to not being able to afford care. Trupanion is affordable and has a no hassle claim system. They give quick pre approvals and are quick do do their fair share. Their call service is also wonderful. They are always friendly and honest. Quite honestly, we all hope that we will not need to use the pet insurance. You may wonder, then what's the point? The point is for those $5,000 emergencies that pop up. When they do, Trupanion will help you through it. I really appreciate it and would recommend it ^_^
