Nationwide Pet Insurance is the best thing I ever bought for my cats!
I've been with Nationwide for about 17 years and bought insurance for two cats. There are more plan options now than when I first signed up so you can get the coverage that works for you and your furry friends. I currently have my cat enrolled in a major medical plan but they also have plans for wellness checks, vaccines, dental, etc. I've referred friends with dogs and cats, who like me, have been thrilled with the help they received from Nationwide when their pets got sick, injured, developed a chronic illness or just needed wellness checks. Customer service is stellar as well as the people who work with claims who have always gone the extra mile. Reimbursement has always been very fair and many times, it has been quite generous. It is such a relief to be able to take care of my pets during stressful times knowing my pet insurance has me covered. I totally recommend Nationwide to anyone looking into pet insurance!

I am goad I chose Nationwide
I gave 5 stars because I was rerated after my first year and charged more for my yearly unsurance premium. So, I chose to go down in services since my pup passed all his wellness services primarily and now I am paying less than I was, but I did not know that I can never go back to full coverage. I get paid promptly and it is really easy to process claims. The staff are patient and friendly which is always a plus.

As my pup ages...
As my puppy ages it's nice to know that I don't have to worry about the cost as much. so far in recent months I've had to submit several claims and everything gets approved as expediently as I would expect. Sometimes it's super quick if it's approving something we've had before and sometimes it takes a couple days if it's something new but nothing out of the ordinary.

Misleading Policy Coverage!
Easy to submit a claim on line, and received a quick response. Benefits were about half of what I expected, with no explanation of what was not covered or why it wasn't covered. My experience with this company has centered around the words 'œnot covered'. I had pet insurance through VPI for many years in the past, and regret changing to this company (which my vet recommended).

Should I maintain my pet insurance?
My dog's heart was pumping at an alarming rate. I called my emergency clinic and was given an immediate appointment. Because of Covid 19, I could not go with inside the clinic with my dog. But all turned out well, my dog is at home with me and recovering. Once again I was relieved to have kept my pet insurance. We were tempted to cancel it last year, I am glad we didn't. Thanks Trupanion for the no fuss process.
