Reimbursement time is way too long.
The auto pay app is crap, and a REAL PITA. AND the reimbursement time for checks tskes way too long. You guys say it's as easy as taking a picture of the vet bill and emailing it to you. That doesn't work either. So, maybe you should go back to the drawing board and think about your paying clients ease of use, rather than thinking of yourselves.

Unexpectedly Easy
Nationwide has made the claim process as easy as pie. I open the VitusVet app on my phone, create a new claim, fill out the needed information, and days later my reimbursement funds are in my bank. Even transferring the funds is easy with JP Chase. I titled this review “Unexpectedly Easy” because I almost didn’t believe that I would get reimbursed as easily as I have been when I first signed up. I thought Nationwide might nitpick some of our puppy’s office visits or something that nightmare insurance companies usually try to pull, but I have had no issues what so ever getting my claims accepted. I am extremely pleased so far with Nationwide and have suggested to many friends and family that they get a policy for their pets.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is amazing!
Working with Nationwide has been easy. It is wonderful to have the peace of mind that I can give my dog the best care possible and I have insurance coverage to help offset costs. Everyone should get insurance on their pets.

Only pet insurance worth having.
Love Trupanion! It has been there for us when Finn has been sick and we have needed help. The claims have been easy and payment has been quick. I would not think of using any other insurance to insure Finn.

Quick Reimbursements
My claims are always processed extremely fast and direct deposited into my account. I am able to charge my vet bill to my credit card and then pay my card once I receive payment.

Please don't ever change
Update: griff had his first annual visit since I signed up with pumpkin. This was also my first claim. The online claim process was so simple. Within 2 hours I had a response which it was initially declined. His vet does a lump sum annual vaccines and exam combined. A quick email to pumpkin and within 30 minutes had a response saying I did actually meet the reimbursement requirements under the preventive plan and I will get the 50 dollars in 4-6 days. I honestly can't say enough about the customer service. Please don't ever change what you guys are doing right. I praise you guys to any of my friends who own pets or anyone considering a pet. Griff wasn't happy with the vet visit but I was. We just received our first 6 months of revolution. They have been very good at communicating with my vet and keeping me updated on the process. I have not filed a claim yet but from the customer service side I am very pleased.

Do not deal with this company
Mailed an accumulative amount of receipts that they claim they didn’t get, apparently their is a 6 month window in which you can claim. Rates increased as u used the insurance....go with a company that is more transparent...all they want is your money

Best use of my money....EVER
My employer offers pet insurance as a additional voluntary benefit and the monthly payment is deducted from my paycheck. I couldn’t be happier that I chose this. My Rylee was lethargic, unable to regulate his temperature (cold ears and tummy), vomiting twice a day. On the 3rd day of this I took him to the veterinarian, they did some tests and recommended a stay in a 24 hour animal hospital for more tests and observation. This 3 day stay cost $2000. Once they found out what was wrong (Addison’s Disease) and got him on the right meds, I took Rylee home and used the VitusVet app to submit my claim. 10 days later, I had an $1800 reimbursement waiting for me. I had a message from Nationwide checking on Rylee to make sure he was ok. This company actually cares about it’s insured. I even upped my coverage to include the Wellness option for non-accident/emergency on both my pups. Far too often I see posts online about people not being able to afford their vet bills and opting to just put their pets down. This is the better option.
