Super easy filing process, and excellent service!
We purchased Nationwide's pet insurance as soon as we got our GSD puppy in early 2019. I particularly liked the wellness plus plan, as we knew we would have a few rounds of puppy shots to pay for early on, which were covered at 100% up to our maximum policy limit, which we didn't reach even with multiple rounds of shots. Nationwide's coverage was also the least expensive and most comprehensive plan that I could find, out of about 10 other companies that I quoted with. I love that we have the ability to claim via an app by simply taking a photo of our vet documents and receipts, and the direct deposit claim payments were a massive plus side for me - no waiting for a check in the mail! Since then, our pup unfortunately came down with kennel cough, which was covered under the major medical plan at 100% after our deductible. This was super helpful as there were a few vet follow up visits that can get expensive! After we renewed this year, we had another unfortunate incident where our pup had an infected cut in his paw. With our insurance plan, this was again covered at 100% after our deductible, and due to our incredible experience the prior year, we were able to tell our vet to do everything they needed to do, without worrying about our out of pocket costs to get him well again! We are very happy with the service provided by Nationwide, and have already recommended them to our friends and family, and will absolutely renew this policy going forward!

Pet insurance is excellent, reimbursement through Chase is horrible
Claims are processed quickly and fairly. Everything is wonderful until its time to get reimbursed. The Chase system is horrible and almost makes me think its intentionally so. So I have signed up for direct deposit. In every other thing in my life whether its automatic deposit or automatic debit, thats all it takes and then its automatic, just like the name says. For Chase they send you an email where you have to "approve" every direct deposit individually. And if you dont respond in 10 days then the automatic deposit for that claim is cancelled. Supposedly they send you a check in the mail but I have never received one. And when I do respond to the email to approve each deposit it takes numerous steps, including answering the security questions each time and selecting the bank account to deposit the money into even though I have only submitted one back account. And when I called to see how to get the checks when I missed the 10 day deadline the representative was basically rude.

Trupanion is a great company!
They have always been quick to respond and pay, and they are all very friendly. I was so unsure if pet insurance was worthwhile, but they have just saved me a whole lot of money on my dog's hip surgery! Love this company.

Fraudulent Charges on Visa
I cancelled my policy for illness and accident insurance when the aforementioned company paid $0000.00 of my $4000.00 plus bill. This was done in the middle of April, several times by text message and once on the telephone. Somehow this company charged my credit card on May 13, 2020 for services that they did not provide. Protect yourself from fraud! Shame on Costco for sponsoring this scam.
