Maggie R's Hyperthyroidism Treatment
This was the same cat procedure done 4 years ago with Maggie's sister. Back then, the reimbursement process was a "4" ... it sucked. Much better streamlined with the FHTC billing Trupanion directly. I still believe very strongly that after paying monthly as much as I do, the insurance should cover (at least on a percentile basis) those other procedures essential to the full treatment for hyperthyroidism.

Thank Goodness for Healthy Paws!
Without pet insurance, I would be broke, really broke! My little Loki developed bad hot spots and went on permanent injections that forever cured him. What a happy guy! The eight week lifetime injections are very expensive. In what, three clicks I think, Healthy Paws reimburses directly into my bank account. Boom, done. Of course Loki's had run-ins with porcupines and what-not, living up here in Maine where we tend to the woods for daily long walks. Then he tore his CCL (like an ACL knee in humans). $6000 later but no worries, we're 90% covered by Healthy Paws so we took the BEST surgery option for our little bug. No questions asked, Healthy Paws reimbursed my account in just two days. Boom. Pet insurance is WAY cheaper than unexpected vet bills, especially persistent ones, and especially here up north, and although my work offers a discounted plan with another company, we like our choice of Healthy Paws so we're sticking with them.

The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The one thing I would like to suggest is that the texts and app are updated a little more simultaneously than they currently are. I saw the approval and payment in the app almost a day before I got the email and text. Just a suggestion.

When life gives you lemons…
Lemonade Insurance has been a great experience! I wanted to ensure our puppy was covered in case her shenanigans got too wild. The sign up and claim process was automated and simple to use. Payout was almost immediate. I loved the experience so much I got insurance on our other animals and I switched my auto and renters insurance over to Lemonade.
