Great program, so glad to have our dogs insured! Payment could be faster, though.
I LOVE Nationwide Pet Insurance! We have the My Pet Protection With Wellness, and it helps tremendously knowing that not only can we take care of our dogs if they become ill or injured, but that we won't be financially devastated if they do. They only criticism I have is how long it takes to receive the payment once the claim has been submitted. Usually more than 3 weeks, even with electronic payment.

Account got straightened out
Once my account got straightened out, my experience was easy and wonderful. However, this is the third time I have filed a claimed over the years and Trupanion has two accounts for me, one active and one inactive. I have no idea why I have two accounts because I only signed up once in 2014. The second time this happened they said they deleted the account, but this time when we filed our first claim, still had two and the claims was denied because Trupanion said I don't have an active account, which is frustrating because I have my $85 taken out every month. I hope it is cleared up now because when the system is working properly, it a great service. Please have someone in IT check this problem with Trupanionr system.

Don't buy this online and check to see you get what you pay for
I went online and purchased two policies - one for EACH of my cats, or so I thought. When I logged in to check on the account, upload photos of my cats, etc. I found I only had ONE policy for one cat. They took payment for TWO cats, but only sent me one policy. They're not available on the weekends.

Claims process is simple.
I appreciate the simplicity of the entire claims process from start to finish. Being able to submit a claim from my phone via the app is wonderful! I can snap a picture of the receipt while checking out after an appointment and file the claim. Also, being able to set up direct deposit is a huge plus. The time between submission, approval and deposit has been generally no more than a week.
