I am so glad I got Pets Best.
I submitted a claim for my pet's spay surgery on Oct 9 and by Oct 11 the EOB came through, very thoroughly processed, with reimbursement for things I hadn't realized were covered. I expect the reimbursement to arrive soon. I am so glad I got Pets Best and the wellness plan!

Overall experience was fine
Overall experience was fine, process of submitting online was not so much. I had to submit 2nd invoice multiple times and never got confirmation email and it never showed up online for me to know that submission was successful.

Paid directly to vet
I was a mess with a sick kitty and from the minute we put in the pre-claim until I was able to bring my Gatsby home 5 days later it was no stress. I especially liked that the claim was paid directly to the vet and I didn't have to worry about that.

Transfer of policy was unacceptable
After a doggie lifetime with PC pet insurance this has so far been a very bad experience. It’s like we travel back in time and no easy access to information, claims or payment options. During the transfer, without consulting us, they chose to merge payments for two different dogs that was paid separate by seperate accounts. They chose to use my credit card for the obvious reasons they probably could not automatically increase a automatic transfer from the bank account. When I called and asked why this was done the answer “our systems do not allow separate policy per dog unless you cancel current and start from scratch” - right with a 15 year old dog that would be pointless will all the “pre-conditions” they will assign him. So we we manage the payments between two families for the two dogs as our “systems” seems to be more flexible. Then first claim - a refill of pain killers - vet automatically does this for us. And I get an email saying “not complete as missing all medical records” ?? My dogs every medical record has been submitted through PC - are they lost?? And the only way to off course clarify is a wait on the phone to speak to someone that probably will say “sorry I can’t hel our systems need all that again” - I know, I’m assuming and I shouldn’t so will make the call. But all in all - I had a great experience with PC as you should when you are going through difficult times (usually the case if you need to lean on insurance) - this company does not understand what the customers need and need to catch up with technology to make it easier to work together during these times. Thanks!!

False Advertising Insurance
My dog, Maggie was hospitalized due to pneumonia, she was in a critical condition and almost died. To add to the stress, Nationwide barely paid for any of her hospitalization although I have Major Medical insurance. I purchased the insurance to have peace of mind if my dog was ever this ill. Well, I'm now sorry that I did. They falsely advertise that hospital stays and major illnesses are covered. The initial claim took 30 days to pay out. I sent in additional information 2 weeks ago and feel like it went into a black hole. I am patiently waiting for additional reimbursement for the claims that I have submitted.

Best claims service and easy to work with.
Claims service was great. The only thing is that it takes about a month receive payment. However, I do like that it was deposited into my account.
