Claims are processed but wish a little quicker
I love having this insurance and the coverage is great but have noticed it is taking a little longer than usual to process the claims. We have had some medical issues with our dog lately and to have to wait so long to be reimbursed can tend to be a hardship. But thanks for being there.

Pet insurance is a must in case of emergencies
My sneaky lab got into our covered garbage can and swallowed a chicken bone. Unfortunately she bit off the end so what she swallowed had a sharp jagged end. I called my vet who saw Sasha within 2 hours. Sasha was unable to throw up the bone when we tried to induce vomiting so the next step was surgery. Cost was $2500.00. In the end Sasha pooped out the whole bone thus avoiding surgery, but the emergency visit and treatment was still $990.00. Nationwide paid this claim in under 3 weeks so I was able to payoff the credit card charge before any interest was charged. Thank you nationwide. I love this insurance. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing

Prompt Payment received
We have regularly received prompt payment on our Winnie's Vet Care. The only question I have is that the last time we made a Claim, only a partial payment was received. I wonder if someone could explain why that was? We believe now the cause of her illness was due to a common houseplant that she decided to chew on!
