Website is extremely easy to use. Response time within 30 days to all of my claims. Electronic payment to my checking account within 2 days of text message. Thank you, very impressed!

This pet insurance stresses me out
Its frustrating how difficult it is to get reinforcements and how long it takes to hear back after you put in a claim. Not to mention after one year you're going to raise our monthly payment.

Only took a week
Uploaded my pets receipt, received a response on payment 3 days latter. Payment hit bank account 4 days latter (weekend). Whole process took a week from the time I submitted claim until payment received in bank.

Great coverage
Very easy to work with and great coverage. If I could change anything it would be the speed at which I receive my reimbursement. 30 days seems too long. Also I wish I didn't have to accept the payment every time and that it would just be automatically direct deposited into my account.

Horrible Customer Service
I have been with Nationwide since 1998 over the lives of 3 Dobermans. Until the last 2 years I had been very happy with this company. However, there has been an incredibly sharp decline in their handling of claims and customer concerns over the last 2 years. I submit claims electronically and they claim they never got them even though my computer shows that they did. I FAX claims, have a receipt from my machine showing the FAX was received and they claim they never got it. Claim processing used to take a maximum of 2 weeks and now it is over 30 days. If you call, the Customer Care reps give wrong info and wrong status reports on claims. I called just this a.m. and Vanessa's response to my question was "I don't know.". I will never insure another dog with Nationwide again.

Service deterioration
Over the past year, Nationwide's service has deteriorated. It took over two months to review a simple request to remove a pre-existing limitation when all that was necessary was to read a few pages of records to see that the condition had been gone for over 6 months. Also, it took over 30 days to process a simple claim for an antibiotic. Also, I am anticipating an unusually large increase in my premium.
