The only issue was that the vet staff couldn't find Captain in their Trupanion Express system and had to call Trupanion to figure it out. Trupanion helped them get it sorted over the phone in less than 15 minutes and Trupanion covered $223 of my $318 claim. I didn't have to pay the whole amount out of pocket to get reimbursed, either! They paid the hospital directly. Great to save that much money since it happened around the holidays!

No joke claim process is fast and easy and everything claim to be covered was taken care with no problems.
I depended on Healthy Paws on an internet search and I am pleasantly surprised that this company has done everything they claim and more. My pet suffered an injury a few months after the coverage began and I can tell you the claims process is fast and there are no hidden fees or surcharges. I received direct deposit fast and everything on their website that said was covered through the claims process was covered.

Trupanion saved our Flynn!
Trupanion has come through yet again! Having this insurance has literally saved our dog's life. Twice. Because of Trupanion, we were able to approve treatment we never would have able to afford on our own. Trupanion made it so we did not have make that difficult decision many pet owners have had to make because treatment was cost prohibitive. On top of that, the process of filing a claim is super easy and, with direct deposit, we are reimbursed in a very timely fashion. 10 years and counting.
Our precious puppy is now almost 11. We had never even considered pet insurance for my other 6 dogs throughout my lifetime, until we got this new puppy. Presented in 2009, we signed up,and have never looked back. Service is prompt. Coordination with our vet is easy. Payment is almost immediate. They were there for her immunity and skin issues. Her rare fungal infection that almost took her life. Her dental complications. And now into her senior years, whatever that will hold for us.
