Needs to work out express kinks
Trupanion was amazing once the bill was paid. We have the express service and our 90% should be paid at time of service. However we had a bit of a problem. The vet said for weeks they were having trouble getting through for TP to pay for express customers.

On line submissions take longer than advertised, but claim still done in a reasonable amount of time.
Nationwide has ads that say if you do online claim can receive payment in just a few days. That isn't true. Other than that is went well.

Easy claim filing and quick payment
I’ve found it quite helpful to have pet insurance and I find that it gives me peace of mind that when my dog needs treatment, it’s covered. I have both preventative care and illness coverage. Claim filing is easy, I just bring a form to my vet and they submit for me. I have automatic payments set up through my bank (for premium payment and for reimbursements), so I don’t have to think about paying my bill and my reimbursements get deposited directly to my account. Customer service has been very helpful and I’ve never had to wait long on the phone.

I have only used the wellness portion of my policy so far, but I cannot ask for anything more. The claims have been processed quickly and my reimbursement was quickly deposited into my back account as well. I’m beyond pleased so far!!!!!
