Easy insurance company to work with

We just signed up for pet insurance about a year ago when our corgi was 10 years old. She has been really healthy, but we know that as pets age they may need a bit more medical care. Well, sure enough we needed some care. I got the claim forms, filled it out, attached the invoice from the vet's clinic and mailed it in. Within about a week we had received an email confirming payments were being made on all the claims we sent in. Checks were issued and delivered and a summary of the claim was sent with the check so we could understand what was covered. Very easy to work with Nationwide. So happy we have them as our pet insurance carrier.

Great coverage - Nationwide takes fantastic care of my dogs

I've had Nationwide for a few years now. When my boxer-beagle tore his ACL around the age of two, and I didn't have insurance it was kind of a blinding flash of the obvious ("I should have bought insurance"). So I got it for Marty (obviously the ACL is an exclusion), then our next dog Reagan, who was one at the time, and finally our third dog Maggie who came along last year. Almost everything is covered, which has been very helpful for Marty, who had surgery for a cancerous tumor, and some issues with reflux (yes, dogs get reflux). Reagan has had some more minor issues that have always been covered. Maggie is just coming out of her puppy stage where she'll be allowed to get the better plan that the other two have, but their plan for her in her first year was adequate as well. If I could change one thing, it would be that my vet would accept the insurance, and then bill me for anything that isn't covered. As it is, you have to download a form, fill it out, and send it in with your receipts. I do all this by scanning and the downloaded form is a PDF. I then email a combined PDF and usually in a few weeks I get a notification that a payment is available from Chase. I'm very happy with Nationwide, and I'll keep all three dogs on it for the rest of their lives.

Fast approval. Life saver.

First claim in the 13th year. My cat sent to emergency hospital for difficult breathing. I called Trupanion for claiming process. Eveybody I talked are all helpful. And I got the claim approved faster than expected. With the budget in mind, both our emotional and financial depression is lightened. My cat' health is improving. Thank you so much for Trupanion!! Great appreciation to Forene, she is so understanding, and made the approval at the earliset possible.

Mailed in claim and received payment within 3 weeks - checked online for claims and very easy for me to understand status of claim. Maybe in a year or two might add dental as almost all of my previous dogs had bad teeth as they got older.

Super easy process with a quick response and great turnaround getting Check.

Rex is doing great. This was an expensive procedure and Nationwide eased my stress by providing an easy claim process. I received a quick response/approval on my claim. The check was received in a very timely manner. This allowed me to concentrate on getting Rex healthy again.

Great company, easy claims, adjustable plans

I was a little worried at first since Figo is newer to the pet insurance market but trusted the numerous positive reviews and I’m glad I did! I love that you can adjust the rates, coverage, and deductible to your needs. Within a month of opening our policy, my dog developed a leg injury. Then a few months later, she developed a mast cell tumor. Then a split nail with an infection. Figo claim filing is so incredibly easy via their app. Customer service is great! All of my claims have been covered and processed quickly. Longest claim took one week. Most have been 2-3 days. Quickest was 1 day. No hassle, automatic fund transfer if selected. They’ve covered everything we signed up- platelet rich injections, laser tendon treatments, surgery, meds. They’ve covered thousands of dollars of claims without hassle. The only hiccup (and not unforeseen) was the initial leg injury and showing it didn’t pre-exist. But that was our very first claim and once we got all the records turned in, things have been easy breezy. We are so incredibly pleased and thank God we got Figo insurance when we did!!! Otherwise we would have been making very tough decisions because Reese’s vet bills accumulated were over $4000.
