MetLife is responsive whether i was dealing with a live person over the phone or using the App. Regarding the claim process, it is easy to submit paperwork with the app, and track its progress. MetLife has been there for my dogs.

Extremely poor experience
Extremely poor experience. Have had issues with more than 3 claims now (I’ve been a customer for over a year). First issue they didn’t receive my dogs medical records from my vet within a certain window so they rejected the claim and ignored me when I sent in the records after the fact. Then they decided to stop covering a treatment for his cancer which they had been covering for almost a year because they found a co-occurring symptom (on bloodwork) and decided it meant the illness was a preexisting condition. Most recently they denied a claim for an ear infection because he had an ear infection in the 2 week period of the policy (this was more than a year ago), saying that the two infections are related when the cytology results show the infection is actually different. They also tried to say that these infections were caused by allergies when there’s no evidence to suggest that. It’s clear that they’re just making up reasons at this point to not cover illnesses that are coverable. I really wish I would’ve gone with another company.

Trupanion has been a great experience as to reviewing and paying the appropriate, reimbursement in a very timely manner. All explanations of what is covered and not covered is very clear. I also want to thank "Brad" located in Flushing, MI for his help re submitting 2 claims for further review. We have had Trupanion Pet Insurance for 2 decades covering 3 of our wonderful dogs over the years. With the great service we have experienced, we have recommended Trupanion to many friends and relatives over the years. Many of which, have also signed up with a "Great Company" - TRUPANION. Painless experience
While the website for submitting claims is not intuitive, the mobile app is better and the overall process was easy. I spoke to a representative who helped me with the Claims process and it was processed in a timely manner. My only compliant is the rising cost in insurance premium across all providers.

Quick and easy claim filing
I've had Pumpkin for two years but never filed a claim. Prior to filing I had a question and Customer Service responded to my email within 24 hours. Filing a claim was easy and it was applied to my deductible quickly no questions asked.

Recent claims are taking 10 weeks of review without any written explanations or updates to the pet owners. It is very stressful for the pet owners. I called them, and they said they are updating the systemand pet owners are suffering.I would not recommend this insurance to any pet owners until they change their processing time in a written statement.

OUTSTANDING PET INSURANCE!
MetLife is an amazing pet insurance! Sadly, I have tried a few pet insurances in the past and the other companies were either too expensive to keep or took an inconsiderable amount of time with receiving payments for a claim. I have now been a customer for MetLife for a number of years now and I am extremely happy I came across MetLife with their quality of business and attention they give to their customers!
