Fast, fair and efficient claims process
The claims were processed quickly and efficiently. Can't say enough good things about Pets Best insurance. The claims process was fair and efficient.
Beagle Cherry eye
Our Beagle had irritated cherry eye, Dr. recommended surgery which was done. Filed claim & paid promptly very easy.
Pets plus US easy to deal with so far!
We switched our provider around 6 months ago to Pets Plus Us and recently had to submit a claim. I hadn't realized that I had to possibly send in medical records once we became a client (which I didn't do) but the insurance company requested them directly and our claim was processed quickly and I received a payment in the mail within days. I'm very happy with the service and lack of red tape or any issues from the "small print".

Horrible Filing Claims
I had met life for over a year and insured my 4 cats under them. In that one year I went to file a single claim for $148 for my cat who had an eye infection. My vet is amazing and this is not a review on my vet they are amazing. They gave me the typical sheet that they print out with all the costs and breakdown of the treatment. I took a picture and uploaded it to met life. They denied my claim stating they need a doctor's written notes on them, which the vet office has never heard of. The chart was very straight forward they examined my cat's eye, did a stain to check for scratches, and gave me antibiotics. I tried re-uploading it, denied again. The vet office does not have any other paperwork to give me then what they gave me. Will never use this again, I was paying over $120 a month to keep this pet insurance and have a good deductible and am completely over it.

The claim process was so easy and I could check on the status of my claim through the entire process. I believe from start to finish it took 10 days to get notice of my reimbursement. Dealing with medical situations for our babies is so stressful that you need an insurance which is easy and doesn’t add to your pain. Pets Best is the one!
Pet Parents Beware
On Dec. 20, 2024, I took my cat to the Southwest Veterinary Hospital. When I was standing at the front desk doing intake, the staff demanded $3,200. without even examining my cat. I paid them $1,000. and let them know I would have to check my credit card balance and my bank account to decide where to pull the remaining funds from. However, the front desk staff continued to badger me for the remaining balance. As it turns out my cat was badly constipated. I was told he would have to stay overnight and I went home. I was woken up at 6:00am by a call from the vet. She started harassing me for the remaining money even though my cat was not ready to be discharged. Therefore, I drove to the hospital and paid the remaining $2,200. While there, I let the vet know that I was offended by the rude and disrespectful way I had been treated. My cat was still not ready to be discharged, so I went back home. The clinic manager phoned me at home to start a confrontation with me because I had told the vet I was offended. She was trying to intimidate me on the phone by raising her voice and over talking when ever I tried to get a word in. Because I stood up to her, she informed me in an angry voice that my cat was ready to go home. When I got to the hospital, I was denied a consultation with the vet regarding my cat’s aftercare, and I was denied the hydracare I was told they would give me to try giving kitty at home. Because the clinic appeared unorganized and unprofessional, I called my vet as soon as I got home to get my cat in to be examined. Upon examination by my own vet, it was determined that my cat was no better off than before he went to Southwest Vet Hospital. They told me he was fine but they had lied to me about his condition. My own vet had to start treatment all over again and used treatment methods that Southwest Vet Hospital didn’t even bother using. Southwest Vet Hospital does not care about pets and does not make their care a priority, they are only concerned with making money and gouging people. I got scammed and therefore, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the College of Veterinarians. If anyone else has been treated like this and scammed, had their pet not properly treated, or not treated at all, I encourage filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the College of Veterinarians. I would never recommend anyone go to the Southwest Vet Clinic.

The best pet insurance
Pets best is always there in time of need. Couldn't do without them. My ig collapsed at the park(Not a dog park) so I rushed him to the Er.. they suggested a specialist who ran many tests including an MRI. All the tests were so expensive i could not have paid those high bills unless I had pet insurance. Whew. Pet's best came through for us and reimbursed us for bills in a timely manner. Thanks to all.
Metlife pet insurance is the worst
Metlife will endlessly ask for records over and over. They will call your vet asking for the same records that they have already received 100 times over. No matter how many times you submit them. They continue to stall in hopes that you will just give up. Metlife is the worst. Don't waste your time and money.

Healthy Paws excellent service
Healthy Paws makes filing claims easy and reimbursement is issued very quickly. Their app also allows you to see what the status of your claim is, and the explanation of benefits on your claim. The customer service is quick to respond to emails and you can speak to a real person on the phone! I am very happy with the service we have received for 10 1/2 years. And we have filed A LOT of claims!
