Put Your Money in a Savings Account Instead
I have had my dog insured through Pets Best for approximately 7 years. In the first few years my claims were reviewed promptly and reimbursed partially. While I wasn’t thrilled with only partial reimbursement, it made sense with deductibles and let’s be honest, our dogs run into problems on their own timelines that never match our convenient ones. Now that I have a senior dog, my claims have taken almost two months to be reviewed and subsequently denied. Pets Best has had to “request medical records” from my vets office and stated they were never sent. Asked me to inquire, which I did just for Pets Best to say they never received them. This led to my claims being denied. My senior dog cracked a tooth on a bone (this is what the vet told me) which led to a tooth infection. I treated the infection first, then took her to a different vet (this office didn’t do extractions) to have it looked at. This vet said it had to go, or risk another infection. I asked that they clean her teeth while they had her under for the extraction. I had been doing non anesthetic cleanings because I didn’t want my senior dog put under. I submit my claim and almost two months later have my first expensive claim completely denied stating that it was periodontal disease which is not covered because I did not have her teeth cleaned under anesthesia in the last 13 months. If they would have attempted to contact me or my vet at any point during this review, it could’ve easily been explained. This company is looking for a reason to deny your claims. To add insult to injury, immediately after denying my claim, I got a letter stating they are increasing my monthly premium to $200 due to my pets age and just general use of modern medicine to treat dogs being on the rise. Don’t give this company free money. Put it in a savings account. I was told I could dispute the claim denial. I’m SURE I will be able to have an unbiased review of that claim after my policy cancellation….hah.
Pets Best really is the best!
My dog was dying (Bruno lived) and needed lots of procedures at the vet. Pets Best made a very difficult time in our family's life way less complicated. We will be lifelong members, thank you
Very Happy with my insurance
It has been a long journey trying all the meds for Inca. But none worked so we are left with having to do the radiation. We are doing labs on Monday and treatment will follow the next week if the labs are good. From the beginning and each step Pets Best has been great with support concern and quick processing of our claims. I am so greatful I made this choice years ago. Thank you Pets Best for your compassion, and kindness and quick processing of our claim. BTW I told my friends about Pets Best as my choice before I had this experience So glad I did. Great Insurance Company To Work With
Pets Best has been Great for us. We have two dogs covered with them, have filed claims on both, and never an issue. I go into my account, file a claim, I'm notified that they processing, a couple days later I'm notified that it was approved, and a couple days later the money is in my bank account. I'm so glad we picked Pets Best from all the insurance options, so easy to work with.
Terrible company!
Thy don't reimburse according to their policy and when they send you a check, you have no idea how they got the measly amount they came up with. There is no explanation and the person answering the phone has no knowledge about any aspect of a policy and cannot answer any questions. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Quick and effortless
My breeder had set up the puppies with the 6 week trial plan. Within the first week of the puppy being home he had stopped eating. The vet diagnosed him with lack of gut motility and he needed to spend over a day at the emergency hospital on IV fluids. Pets plus us reimbursed for the maximum amount of the trial plan ($1000.00) and were very helpful to get me setup on a permanent plan which also gave me the first month free. Since I moved from trial to permanent with no lapse in coverage, his issue isn’t considered a pre-existing condition moving forward. The claim was processed within days and I received my cheque promptly. Great service!

Allergies
My dog Montana has been diagnosed with Allergies two years ago. So every few month, when Allergy season starts, she starts biting her Paws. She gets a shot. It is so easy to file a claim. I am very satisfied with the service I receive, that's why I added my third dog to the policy. "
Easier than Insurance for People!
I've had PetsBest for all of my animals the past 20 years. They always pay what they say they will, and the turnaround time is super quick. It has always been such a great customer experience. I recommend them to all of my friends and family.
