Healthy Paws Saved My Dog's Life

I can't say enough good things about Healthy Paws. I switched to them when my pup was 3 from another insurance that was outrageously expensive. Until last summer, I never needed insurance but then my pup got very ill with Cancer and needed surgeries and treatments. I would have not have been able to afford all of it without Healthy Paws. They covered so much and literally saved my pups life. I can't believe how easy it is to submit an invoice on their app and how quick the turn around time is. I have never had to wait more than a few days and sometimes i have had the reimbursement in my account next day! Thank you Healthy Paws for saving my pup and giving me more years with her.

A Lifesaver for Our Beloved Ripley

We’ve been fortunate to have Healthy Paws as partners in our dog Ripley’s life since he was a puppy—over 12 years now—and we truly can’t say enough good things about them. From the small bumps and scrapes along the way to the big, scary stuff—like Ripley’s recent emergency surgery—they’ve been there every step. Ripley became very sick and needed a 7-day ICU stay along with the removal of his gallbladder and spleen. We knew it would be a costly procedure, but because we had Healthy Paws, we were able to focus on what really mattered: making the best decision for Ripley's health without the added stress of wondering how we’d pay for it. Best recommendation!

I have had Healthy Paws Insurance for my dog for nearly 2 years. My dog just recently had a torn ACL (a CCL in dogs)--this was major surgery. I was in awe at how fast ( within 2 weeks) I was refunded from Healthy Paws. They covered 80% of a nearly $6000 surgery. They directly deposited the money into my account with no problem. Then they send me an email asking how he's doing. I am so grateful this company was recommended to me by a friend!

Claims process

I feel my claims have been processed in a timely manner. The website for submitting claims and checking on claims is very user friendly and easy to understand. I have been a client for 6 years and feel I have had excellent service.

Midnight at ER Vet

A midnight spent in the veterinary ER is never a good time however you’ll do and spend just about anything to make sure your little dog is OK. Mueller veterinary Hospital is one of the best in Sacramento. They didn’t hesitate. They took my little 5 pound Chihuahua in since she had been throwing up and finally it looked like there was blood in her vomit. I rushed her to Mueller after midnight I was so stressed out about my dog. I completely forgot that I had insurance until the vet as she quoted the treatment plans asked me if I had insurance. It finally clicked. I said yes I have pets best insurance From a previous experience. I knew that I could know. Stop silently worrying about the cost and think solely about my little dog Daisy thank you Mueller and pets best for getting her back on the mend submitting my claim through pets best was easy and I had a check covering some of the cost within a couple of weeks

Great Company

I have had no issues with Pets Best Insurance. They handle claims quickly and if they are in need of additional information, they request it in a timely manner. Their claim submission is easy as are their EOB's to read. I can recommend them without reservation.

MetLife Pet Insurance

Very pleased with this insurance. We have had health issues with our puppy since we got him at 4 months and MetLife has been excellent with paying almost all of our claims in a timely manner. I have had to provide some additional information from our vet on occasion but now I know what to ask for before we leave the vets office. I am also just learning about the 60 to 90 day rule about submitting a claim which they do not make you aware of up front. Otherwise pleased with overall service and would recommend this insurance.

Felt protected — until pup got sick

We chose Fetch because it promised peace of mind. For years, we paid our premiums without issue. But after our dog was diagnosed with a chronic condition and we submitted a large claim, our coverage was downgraded at renewal—with no option to keep the plan we originally signed up for, even if we were willing to pay more. Now we’re left trying to afford ongoing medical care for a condition we assumed would be covered for the life of our pet. We can’t switch insurers because of pre-existing condition exclusions, so we’re essentially trapped with reduced coverage and rising costs. Fetch may offer decent coverage when your pet is healthy—but if your dog actually needs long-term care, don’t assume your plan will stay the same. I would advise anyone considering them to read the fine print carefully and ask specific questions about how renewal decisions are made.
