Our situation was urgent at about 10:00…
Our situation was urgent at about 10:00 at night. Our little 18 lb Skipper was throwing up suddenly first his earlier dinner and then water. All the people at VEG were all very kind and concerned. They ran many tests to rule out possible issues. We were there until about 3 am. Skipper was in pain from throwing up and was given pain meds. In the end it was a gastritis event. We are very thankful for care and knowing we had insurance in place to help us. We submitted the claim and it was processed immediately.

Denied without contacting my vet
First, the claim submission process was an email as the app continued to ask me to re-login, although I was logged in. When trying to re-login I got the message “we dont recognize this device” so an email was sent to me to verify. Clicking the verification it said “this link has expired”…it was sent 10 seconds prior and never used. They finally acknowledged my claim over a month after I submitted. That email asked for any contact information for the prior vet, so I sent that to them. I received an email 2.5 wks later denying the whole claim, but requesting information to reconsider, from the vet who’s contact information I already provided. This insurance is a scam at best, unable to cancel through the app and when I tried to cancel my Cats, due to their terrible service, their system hung up on me. 0 stars! These people should be ashamed of themselves.

Usually more prompt in claim ptocessing
Pets Best must be undergoing end of the year/holiday issues interfering with usual promptness of claim handling. Last 2 claims taking weeks longer than usual prompt and efficient process. Over all, still a trusted carrier and much appreciated

I have been with this great insurance company for over 5 year's.when my cat,Liza passed away,this insurance company was right there for me,aside for settling my end of life claim with the quickness.This insurance company customer service representative's called me with such heart felt condolences,during the passing of my cat .which is very rare, and then again,Spot Pet Insurance company is very rare

Wrongfully denied claims
The claim was for nextguard plus. I buy it annually and never have an issue.. this year my bc Aim was denied multiple times stating I needed to submit and invoice. Each time I submitted and invoice. Then I would call and get confirmation what I submitted was exact what was needed !and what was exactly what I sent in past years. A full invoice with my information, my vet information, medication, h dog name and proof of payment. After multiple calls and submissions it was finally approved and nobody can explain what the issue was.
