Waiting 4 months to find out that my dogs' claims denied because of pre-existing conditions. Not!
I am just VERY disappointed that I had to wait almost 4 months to get a response on my pet claims! (October 7th- next week would be 4 months!) When I first inquired about the pet insurance- I was told that everything I was asking about for our soon to be 16 year old beagle and 12 year old Walker Coon Hound- would be covered. That is why I chose to get insurance for both pets. Then, when I submit the claims- I am told that these are pre-existing conditions and nothing is covered. How are abscessed teeth not covered? Kidney failure? Really? I shared my utter disappointment and wanted the claims to be reconsidered. I was told I would need to write this up rather than having the representative advocate for me/us. After the 4 hour "paper review", I thought that the representative could help me. Since nothing is covered (at least in my opinion), I asked that the insurance is not renewed next year. She told me that she could not do that- that I needed to manually do that in January. I am just very disappointed in the service and support.

Wellness Claim
I logged on to submit a Wellness claim for Evie's spay and was a little confused about what was needed. Started an online chat and was helped quickly to complete the process. I submitted the claim and received an email confirmation and a couple days later an email indicating that the claim was approved and a check was on the way. I am very happy about the promptness and excellent communication chain.

Embrace really cared
My policy includes the Wellness program which covers things such as flea and tick control and other things. I sent in my invoice and a day later I received a message from Embrace regarding the invoice. They were not able to process the claim because the invoice total amount did not match up with the amounts. The error occurred because I asked the pharmacy to price match and I guess in the process the total amount got out of whack somehow. Embrace noticed and contacted me rather than just not process it because the total amount did not make sense. I receive the revised invoice from the pharmacy, sent it over to Embrace and they processed my claim right away and I am now waiting for my reimbursement check. This may seem like a small issue, but I am very grateful that Embrace reached out to me to give me a chance to rectify rather than decline the claim. Embrace came through for us - again.

Absolutely amazing, I cannot recommend these guys enough!
After reading so many pet insurance reviews, I feel like I held my breath when ordering for our new puppy. But I could not be happier that I did, and Healthy Paws has not only erased any doubts I had, but they've actually set a new benchmark in my expectations for ANY insurance (car and human included!) Within the first few months of having our dog, Patsy, we had a very scary seizure incident that required a trip to the emergency room, and we opened up a Care Credit card just to cover the $4,000 bill. Within 2 weeks, we received a check covering the 80%, along with the nicest notes of well-wishes for our girl. After realizing the seizures required medication, Healthy Paws still covers 80% of her Keppra medication (about $50 per month which we get from Costco) and has also covered an incident where Patsy ran into another dog chasing the same ball, knocking out 3 front teeth and requiring stitches. I could not be more impressed or satisfied with these guys, and I recommend them to all of my pet-owning friends. It's hard enough seeing your dog in pain, let alone having to worry about what credit card you'll need to max out just to see them not suffer anymore. Do yourself and your furry friends a favor, and sign up for Healthy Paws as soon as you can. We love them!
