Be aware of “pre-existing conditions” that never existed!
My Golden Retriever, age 8, never had a health problem before 10/01/18, when she collapsed and died and gained consciousness after CPR was preformed. She was diagnosed with Dialated Cardiomyopathy and accumulated around $5,000 in vet bills over the past month. Pet’s Best is calling this a pre-existing condition, which is rather funny considering she never had any sign/symptom of it, and if we knew about it, we would have treated it long ago. It took the company 26 days to make this decision. I am left with the feeling that, because the claim was so large, Pet’s Best would have done anything to deny it. Now I will have to go through whatever appeal process and I don’t have great expectations for the overturning of the decision, based on Pet’s Best service to date. I will likely cancel coverage for all three of my dogs and transfer to another company.

You need to revise how you evaluate claims
The only reason I didn’t give this 1 star is because of the customer service I received before our pets surgery. They paid out his claim based on a generic list of injuries. Our little guy had to see a specialist for his fracture surgery, but because of his treatment, we were only paid out for a regular fracture. Which wasn’t what he had. Don’t get me wrong, what we got paid out is better than nothing, but not what it should have been. This is the only thing I have to judge nationwide by hence the low rating. Maybe in the future things will go better for us if the need arises to make a claim.

Super easy and prompt claims process.
Super easy to file claim and got an immediate response. Bandit started limping and I thought he had just tweaked a leg while playing at beach Turns out his knee popped out and wouldn't get better, and would cause damage to his ligaments if not repaired. Let's Best insurance made it possible to have the surgery done and now he is the happiest little dog ever. Thanks for the easy claims process and quick responses. I wish my own health insurance was so good to work with

Customer service is excellent
I have been with Trupanion for many years now. Recently it has been very difficult to get the phone answered and the prices are not as competitive as they used to be. But, when the phone is answered the Custer service is excellent!!

AMAZING!
AMAZING! WE TOOK A RESCUE DOG. WE WERE INCOURAGED TO SIGN UP WITH TRUPANION, AFTER LOOKING AT 6 OTHER INSURANCES. I THOUGHT ANIMAL INSURANCE WAS A SCAM. LESS THEN 2 WEEKS LATER, THE LITTLE BISHON STARTED YELPING WHEN HE URINATED. TRUPANION COVERED ALL EXCEPT MY DEDUCTIBLE AND I ONLY HAD THE INSURANCE FOR TWO/THREE WEEKS. THEY WERE GREAT! ONLY GO WITH TRUPANION, NO OTHER INSURANCE! THEY WERE HONEST AND PAID ALL THE CLAIMS IMMEDIATELY, ALLOWING MY HUSBAND AND I NOT TO QUESTION; TAKING A RESUE DOG!

Claims experience was excellent
I have had two claim experiences and both were excellent. Trupanion really seems to care about me and my big boy. I tell everyone how great Trupanion is to deal with. My guy is getting old now so we may not have him for much longer but I will always have Trupanion insurance!
