Not too bad.

For the most part, Healthy Paws is very quick on reviewing claims and getting paid out. Randomly though, the one time that I had a major claim ($4K+) is when they took almost 10 days to get back to me. It took me a couple follow ups to get a response (or they randomly finally responded to my orignal request a day or two after my multiple follow ups) And the only reason this was an issue was because I was hoping to get that big chunk of money back in the timely fashion that they normally pay out so I could avoid the huge service charge that went on to my credit card for the original surgery. Other then that, they aren't too bad. Just like any other insurance company, rates start going through the roof once the dog gets a little older.

So far ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is…

So far ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is not paying treatments that should be covered, not communicating about what is needed in order to pay a claim!!! Just declining saying unable to obtain medical records from the veterinary clinic?!!! Then why didn't they ASK ME for it?!!!

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

After doing my research, I signed up with Pets Best and felt I had found a top pet insurance company, one I could really trust to help me take care of my dog -- and all went well for a while. BUT, when I adopted two more dogs, I had difficulty getting their website to recognize that I now have THREE dogs and qualify for a multi-pet discount. As a result, INSTEAD OF GETTING THEIR MULTI-PET DISCOUNT, somehow MY ORIGINAL DOG GOT A NEW POLICY TOO -- AND NOW HER ALLERGY PROBLEM IS CALLED "PRE-EXISTING" AND IS NO LONGER COVERED!!!!!!! Even contacting Pets Best "customer care" and explaining the situation did no good. WOW, talk about being disappointed!!!! Bottom line, since no one will now cover her allergies, I'm switching companies just on principle and share this with the broader pet community as a word of caution!

Brutal bad

Brutal bad. Pretty much what you are reading reviews to try to avoid. Delays, denials, dumb answers...

Would not recommend

Had a very difficult time getting my claims processed and paid. My vet sent them records - they say they did not get them - Had vet send them again - they confirm they got them - then a week later when I call back again they tell me they still need more records. They never told me any of this. Would not recommend. Also was not aware that they have co-pays or co-insurance which they charge you for on every line item of your vet bill.

Great customer service!! Thank you, Amanda!

Amanda went above and beyond helping me get our pets insured at a great rate! Very happy with the way she helped shop policies and give me options and time to get my husband involved in the decision. I would highly recommend Amanda and Fetch insurance for your beloved fur babies insurance needs!

Very fast claim processing

I have had Pets Best for my last several dogs with varying levels of coverage. My current pet has mild IBD that is managed by frequent feedings and a very small dose of anti-nausea medication at night (so we can sleep through the night). The company that auto-ships the medication does not send invoices, but packing slips. So, to file a claim, I must first contact them to get invoices for every shipment. As a result, I procrastinate until the last minute. My most recent clam was filed just before my policy was to renew, so I was scrambling, and submitted the entire year at one time. I expected to get some push back, but was pleasantly surprised to find the claim processed and the payment in my account within 2 days.
