An absolutely, surprisingly pain-free experience. And may I add...a quick claim reimbursement. We jumped through zero hoops during the claims process. Granted, we were required to provide thorough records and medical resources for our dog, but once completed, we didn't hear from Trupanion again until a deposit was made to our banking account. A definite win having Trupanion coverage.

I recommend Trupanion to all my friends and family
Our young and previously healthy aussie somehow got AKI and we ended up being referred to the top vet dialysis hospital in the southeast at University of Florida. We were told it could save his life, but would be prohibitively expensive for us as a family. Once we confirmed his chances of survival with good quality of life would be possible, we had to decide between paying for it or putting down our beautiful dog. I called Trupanion there in the hospital on a Sunday and they confirmed it would be covered and we even got an email that day to confirm. Now that our dog is back home with us for Christmas a slowly improving, we are also greatly relieved that our massive claim has been paid according to the policy and additional charges relating to his condition should be paid as well. I wish human insurance was this good - and this fast!! The best part is that every single person I spoke with or chatted online with at Trupanion was kind, able to help me with all my questions and compassionate. I have already recommended Trupanion to all of my friends.

Very grateful our vet recommended Trupanion
Our puppy was not a healthy one for the first year and a half. She was constantly experiencing diarrhea and urinary tract infections. She was constantly on antibiotics and having visits with the vet. During that time period, Trupanion paid over $2000.00 for our bills. I don't know what we would have done without them. Belle s health has stabilized through diet and probiotics, the probiotics still being financially supported by Trupanion. Communication either written or on the phone is always a positive and supportive experience. I am very grateful that our vet recommended Trupanion when we first took Belle in when she was ten weeks old. Trupanion has been a lifesaver.
