Very reliable - major fan of electronic reimbursements
I've been with Nationwide for my dog's pet insurance since he was a puppy. They have never given me a hard time with his medical expenses, which i think is very rare these days with so many insurance companies trying to dodge the claims to prevent payouts. I recommend Nationwide to all of my friends who have or are about to get pets and make sure they know I feel taken care of. If and when the day comes where I will need to buy my own personal/supplemental health coverage, Nationwide earned my business!

LOVE Nationwide Pet Insurance. They are helpful, payments are prompt and they care about our furry family members. Jake has been diagnosed with eye cysts and his coverage has taken away a lot of the headache of costs related to specialist visits and prescription costs since his diagnosis. When your prime concern is your pet's health and well-being, it's reassuring that you can focus on there rather than your pocket book. The monthly cost for the coverage is absolutely worth it. All three of my goldens are covered....and I highly recommend them!

Nationwide has been so helpful from the start! Any time I have questions, they are always able to provide the best service. I do hate how long the reimbursements take to get back because I do have bills to pay off. However, I have never worked in insurance so I have no idea how the process works. So, there is grace :) I always tell my fellow dog parents to get Nationwide for their pets. I've saved so much money since I got my sweet Bean as a puppy, with all the shots and neutering. Thanks again everyone! Keep up the great work!

Inquiry in to a recent claim
Your representative, Shelley, was most helpful with regard to my concerns and is following up with an answer for me. I do have one criticism with regard the length of time that it takes between filing a claim, receiving any updates and payment for the claims.

I've been charged the deductible for the same disease many times now. This last time, knowing you'll try to charge the deductible AGAIN, I uploaded the form saying it was part of the cancer treatment for my dog. We are not even doing chemo, his treatment is prednisone, and some pills to help his liver because of the prednisone. So it is cheap, yet you are not covering playing coy with the deductible? You think you are too smart cheating a person who has paid for two healthy dogs for eight years, but that is not good for business. Fix this or I will report you to the BBB and make sure everyone knows they need to pay close attention when doing business with you, or not do business at all. Trust is everything, you know? SO disappointed.
