Nationwide has improved my impression of them
After we got our new shelter dog, I wanted to make sure she was well cared for and also didn't break the bank, thus health insurance for her. The first year went off without a hitch, but the second year with Nationwide was less than stellar. I proactively got her shots caught up (about a month ahead of schedule) because we weren't going to be home when they came due. Turned out Nationwide refused to pay for the visit because it was still within the same year. I tried to explain the reason, but they didn't seem to care, and it quickly became obvious that all they cared about was the money rather than looking at the situation. I decided to just bite the bullet and learn from the situation. Since then my dog has started to have "old dog issues," and Nationwide has been good about covering her expenses, as well as sending me follow up emails asking how she's doing. While I assume these are automated, and no one really cares _that much_, it was still a pleasant surprise. Then this year we discovered that she had a tumor, and Nationwide stepped up and covered the majority of the cost to have it removed, which went a long way toward changing my impression of Nationwide. I'm still hesitant to give them a "10" due to that past experience, but maybe I'll bump it up again in another year.

Helpful to know my pet is covered for whatever she needs
I'm very happy so far with Nationwide - from the wellness coverage to potential emergencies. Nationwide has been very responsive and paid claims just as promised. I'm paying a lot each month for the coverage, but on the other hand, it's there if I should ever need it. When I have had claims to process, Nationwide is always responsive and paying what they promised. I love the fact that they send the funds to my bank and not a check. That really helps alot. I would like to see them receive claims by email much easier. It woudl be best for me to scan and email my claims. I have recommended Nationwide to several friends - all in Texas - so couldn't receive a gift for referring but it's OK - as I want all pets to have good coverage.

We are so glad with Nationwide Pet Insurance for being so easy to work with. I have submitted claim now for our spoiled and sweet Rambo. We didn't had any problems with submitting the invoices.
