Nationwide is the best!
Our Scottish Terrier has had a few setbacks this past year,but Nationwide was right there to help out with the expenses. If I had to call for something I was treated with such courtesy and Nationwide always helped me out with any questions I had.

Impressed but recently disappointed
It's a great coverage program and I appreciate the expense reimbursements. I was recently disappointed, however, when a claim was rejected due to a lapse in coverage. I was never made aware there was an issue and Nationwide automatically deducts from my account monthly for both dogs. Bailey's relapsed and not Hank's? This just happened recently and now I have to call you guys and sort all this out. Not looking forward to it.

Not 30 days of free trial-very misleading-no communication on rejected claim.
Thought we had pet insurance based on AKC registration website information. Had a claim for ER Vet the day after registering for the trial offer. Waited two weeks with no call or emails on claim status. Finally went online to do Live Chat (is not active). Called and waited for a representative for almost 7 minutes to find out we were not covered for the claim. They have a declaration of a 5 day waiting period and our claim was on day 2. They should advertise 25 days of pet insurance, not 30. This was an ER visit for eating raw chicken wings, I was not signing up because we had a sick dog and were working the system. This makes AKC look bad in my opinion. Very misleading.

Affordable but Difficult to Settle Claims Fairly
Overpromises, undeliveres. I just settled claims in February that we’re submitted for October services. If it’s anything outside of normal vet visits, they take months to pay out. Read the fine print!! Very disappointed overall, looking to change providers. Beware of the benefits schedule, they really get you there.

Very grateful
We have had embrace pet insurance for about 6 months and we are very thankful that we finally signed up. Our little yorkie has gastritis recently and their process was very simple and reimbursement was quick. Also, when our little girl chipped a tooth, they covered for the vet to see her for dental issues too. They have been very easy to work with. I would recommend them to everyone.

I never have to worry about finances.
Having VPI keeps me calm when my fur babies get sick or need something. I know that with every claim it will get handled with care. I never have to worry about not giving treatment due to costs.

Well worth the premium - the customer service and refund process are top notch!
Having insurance coverage for our pet is a no brainer for us. We have the Whole Pet plan, which combines the medical and wellness plans, so it covers everything outside of any preconditions noted. Thankfully our pet has only had to have one serious procedure, but whether it was that procedure or routine check-ups, dental cleanings, and medications, it has been covered. We use the VitusVet app that allows for easy claim submittal on your phone and we receive our refunds directly to our bank account in 2 weeks on average. We've had this coverage for 3 years now and haven't been disappointed and are thankful we have it every time we go to the vet.
